Ilsur Metshin: "For 2 hours we are to acquaint the world with Kazan citizens"
(KZN.RU, March 22). The opening ceremony of the 2013 World University Summer Games has to show history and originality of citizens of Tatarstan and the country. It was said today at a working meeting of President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin with people’s artist of Russia and composer Igor Krutoy, painter, scene-designer, producer Boris Krasnov. They discussed issues of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Universiade-2013.
Kazanis an original Russian city and guests of the Universiade will have to understand it, Rustam Minnikhanov noted.
“Our aim is to tell history of the country, our Republic and the city. We are to acquaint the world with citizens of Kazan, Tatarstan and Russia”, Ilsur Metshin noted. “We will try to attract public to find “gingers” which make the opening ceremony of the Universiade-2013 unforgettable”, Mayor said.
