The first republican ethno-religious festival "Mosaic of Cultures" is held in Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, August 29). Today the first republican ethno-religious festival "Mosaic of Cultures" is held at the Kremlin embankment in Kazan, it is devoted to Day of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

At the festival in four pavilions more than 20 national-cultural autonomies of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan are presented. In the pavilions visitors can try dishes of national cuisine, buy national clothes, accessories and other handmade products. Also at the festival an exhibition of folk art and crafts of masters of RT works.

The guests toured the pavilions and exhibitions. Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan addressed to the audience with a welcoming speech. "I wish you success and good health. I want to thank each of you for your citizenship, for your activity, for your contribution to the development of our country, of our country ", - the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan quotes the words of Rustam Minnikhanov. Also mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Hazrat Samigullin and Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Feofan addressed public with congratulations.

The organization of the festival was attended by representatives of all faiths in RT. The concert program includes performances of both professional and amateur artistic groups. The concert program is divided into blocks: in the first part folklore is presented, in the second - the spiritual music. In the evening youth groups, who perform ethnic music with a modern twist, will appear at the scene. The festival will last till 19.00.
