Ilsur Metshin presented awards to outstanding citizens at the City Day

(Kazan City KZN.RU, August 30, Zilya Gayfi). Celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the city of Kazan began today with the ceremonial meeting in the capital's City Hall. Mayor Ilsur Metshin handed the city and national awards to people who have made a significant contribution to the development and prosperity of the capital of Tatarstan. The event was attended by deputies of Kazan City Duma, heads of district administrations, heads of departments of the Executive Committee and special guests.

Opening the meeting, Ilsur Metshin congratulated the guests on the holiday. "In the recent history of the capital of Tatarstan many achievements and victories, wonderful experiences in various fields have happened. Each victory has its creators, hard-working people that make the city more beautiful, modern and comfortable. It is you, who ensured citizens with decent living conditions, created special Kazan atmosphere of peace and harmony, building new neighborhoods, developing industry, struggling with crime. We appreciate it and express our gratitude and respect, "- the Mayor addressed the audience.

The ceremony began with the procedure of awarding the title of "Honorary Citizen of Kazan" and the inclusion in the Book of Honor of the city. Olympic champion, multiple champion of the USSR, Europe and the world Valentina Nikonova was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Kazan". In the Book of Honour of Kazan have been inscribed: the singer, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and Russia Venera Ganeeva, Director of JSC "Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant" Sergei Rakovets, rector of Kazan State Architectural University Rashid Nizamov, director of the Kazan Art School in N.I.Feshin name Olga Gilmutdinova, General Director of JSC "Kazenergo" Yuri Eliseev, Director of the Kazan oil extraction plant Mikhail Syrovatsky, rector of Kazan State Technological University Herman Dyakonov.

Also there was a presentation of national and municipal awards. The honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation" was awarded to the Chairman of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of the Executive Committee Ilgiz Fahriev. The honorary title "Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan" was awarded to actor-singer of the Tatar State Philharmonic in G.Tukay name Rigina Valieva. Head of the Center of extracurricular activities of the Moskovsky district Alla Vakhrameeva received the honorary title of "The Condemned Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan". Also, the honorary title "Honored Worker of Social Protection" was awarded to the General Director of the charity fund "Ray of Light" Guzel Okhmanova.

General Director of JSC "Network Company" Ilshat Fardiev noted with insignia "For work and valor for the benefit of Kazan". Insignia "For faultless service for Kazan" was handed to the driver the tram of depot in I.K.Kabushkin name of  MUE "Metroelektrotrans" Fania Barieva, head of the endocrinology department of CRCH Natalia Krinitskaya, Chief Specialist of the financial support and performance of the device budgetary authority of the Executive Committee of Kazan Tamara Kuzmina, former Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Bauman district of Kazan Alexander Abramkin, Deputy Secretary of the Political Council of the Tatarstan "United Russia", the head of the Executive Committee of the Kazan branch of the party "United Russia" Nail Khusnutdinov, former chairman of Kazan Executive Committee Revo Idiatullin.

For contribution to the development of public self-government in Kazan with Gratitude of Mayor were encouraged: the chairman of TPSG "Zaymische" of Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts Anatoly Ilyin, chairman of TPSG "Kalinin" of Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts Ayrat Ismagilov, chairman of TPSG "Voznesensky" of Soviet district Natalia Litvinova, the chairman of TPSG "Tsaritsyno hill" of Soviet district Vyacheslav Prokofiev, chairman of TPSG "Savinovo" of Aviastroitelny and New Savinovsky districts Ildous Salakhov, Chairman of TPSG "Kulseitovo" of Soviet district Yuri Fedorov.

Ilsur Metshin also handed Letters of Thanks of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The artistic director of the show theater "Charm" Maxim Skalozubov was awarded the Letter of Thanks of the President of the Republic of Tataristan.
