Winners of the competition among municipalities were awarded in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 30 August). Today in the building of the State Council of Tatarstan a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual Republican contest among municipalities, dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, was held. The event was attended by the Acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, chairman of the Council of Municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan Minsagit Shakirov and others.

This year the winners of the contest are 93 municipalities and 7 municipal institutions of two urban districts of the republic, the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan says.

Participants of the contest were evaluated by 11 criteria: the number of localities belonging to the municipality and their remoteness from the regional center; the average annual number of resident population of rural settlements; its tax and non-tax revenues per inhabitant, and so on. It is also taken into account the rate of implementation of local programs to support small and medium enterprises, promotion of self-employment, costs for the improvement of rural settlement, socio-cultural and sporting life. Indicators of municipal institutions in accordance with the system of departmental figures considered for urban districts.

After welcoming the participants, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that each of the contestants has an important task to strengthen stability in Tatarstan. "The system of public administration was formed so that the first settlements go, then municipalities and urban districts, and only after them the republic. Therefore, the most crucial point of contact with the population, the implementation of all our plans and projects directly in the field - all this is happening in settlements and districts of the city "- he said.

Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan added that the municipalities are important link in the system of governance that needs attention and care. In this regard, two times a year a competition is held in the republic, the winners receive valuable and necessary in prizes - cars. "Efficiency and mobility are very important in our work. Therefore, those vehicles that we will handle today are necessary, thank to them residents of districts and cities in a short time would be able to receive all the necessary assistance from you, "- said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Acting President of Tatarstan noted that today in Tatarstan a number of national, federal and municipal programs are implemented. Improving the environment and the quality of life is our main task, he added.

"A huge burden is on your shoulders . Today representatives of the best settlements of the republic gathered in this hall. I would like to thank each of you for your contribution to the development of Tatarstan, and the whole of Russia. It is our joint work, "- said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Further, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan presented to the winners of the competition the keys of new vehicles: 93 cars "Chevrolet Niva" and 7 minibuses "Ford Transit".
