"Korston" hosted a reception on the occasion of the Republic Day

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 30 August). Today hotel and trade entertainment center "Corston" hosted a reception on the occasion of Republic Day. The guests of the reception on behalf of the Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov became Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, heads of the largest faiths of Tatarstan.

The reception was also attended by representatives of republican and federal agencies, representatives of the deputies, the holders of the highest state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan - "Order of Merit of the Republic of Tatarstan", veterans of labor, representatives of working professions - machine operators, farmers, doctors, teachers, engineers - total more than 650 people.

The celebration opened with a demonstration of a movie about the main achievements of the republic - steps in developing the economy, improving the quality of life of citizens, the implementation of investment projects and others.

Welcoming the guests, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that today we celebrate the most important holiday - Republic Day. “Over 25 years of new statehood, Tatarstan passed a long way,  - he said, - and the film, which we have just seen, shows how much republic has changed for the better, how much people have changed. We remember the 90 years of the last century and the 2000s, and what has been created in the country today - is the work of all of us. We managed to survive the difficult period. Today in the Republic of Tatarstan everything is done to the region remained a leader in many ways, we have the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin in many of our endeavors, and we are trusted by the most demanding tasks. The main thing, that we have today - our people, our human capital!" Rustam Minnikhanov thanked everyone for their contribution to the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and the development of the whole country.

As R.Minnikhanov noted, today we have gained considerable experience in hosting of major international sporting events - summer Universiade 2013 and the championship FINA 2015.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the main merit is that Tatarstan has managed to preserve the human capital and the base, which was created by previous generations.

Special thanks and congratulations on the Day of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov addressed to the leaders of the major faiths of the Republic of Tatarstan. “You are helping to save peace and harmony in republic, - he said, - Let it continue, and Tatarstan would develop!” The celebration lasted with performances of masters of arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, dance numbers, and performance of popular songs in Russian and Tatar languages, the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan says.
