(Kazan City KZN.RU, August 25). Mayor Ilsur Metshin again leads the "People's Rating" of heads of the Russian capitals. Center for Information communications "Rating" issued the large-scale study on the assessment of the popularity of the mayors of regional capitals and large financial and industrial centers of the Russian Federation.
The bulk of the information for the study was collected in the second half of July - mid-August of this year. The rankings researchers turned to open source materials and insider information. But the main focus of the study was paid to consider the opinions of regional and national experts - this source determined the final results.
The leader of the ranking became the head of the Tatarstan capital Ilsur Metshin. According to the "Rating", main role has played the success of the Kazan in holding the next big event - XVI FINA World Championship in Water Sports. According to many experts, it was the best championship in history. Victory in the fight for the right to take the championship “WorldSkills-2019” drawn in a tense standoff with major foreign competitors had no less an impact on the decision of the experts. Such event will be held on the territory of the Russian Federation for the first time. During this period in Kazan another significant event took place: the Congress of Local Authorities of Eurasia, which brought together representatives of 80 cities of Russia and abroad. In its frames Ilsur Metshin was re-elected as a president of the Eurasian section of the world organization "United Cities and Local Governments".
Achievements of Kazan are the result of efforts of Tatarstan, the whole country, but Ilsur Metshin, occupying an important place in the team of the leader of the republic, can attribute achievements of the city at his own expense by his merits, according to the compilers of the rating. Experts emphasize the contribution of the Mayor of Kazan in the transformation of infrastructure, improving the work of metro and all public transport.
