I. Metshin: "Kazan actors have the honor to present the capital of Tatarstan worldwide"

(KZN.RU, July 23, Zilya Gayfi). The stadium "Tatneft Arena" in Kazan held the final rehearsal of the opening ceremony of XVI FINA World Championships in Aquatics the "Pilgrim" Show. Before the start the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin  and the scriptwriter of opening and closing ceremonies Igor Krutoy met  with the artists of the show informally.

About 200 ballet dancers, circus, dance groups, masters of synchronized swimming, as well as well-known singers from Tatarstan are involved in the opening ceremony and the show "Pilgrim", the script of which was created by the team led by People's Artist of Russia Igor Krutoy and director Alexey Sechenov.

Ilsur Metshin asked the actors, whether there is the excitement before going on stage, and whether they are ready to present a colorful program to the audience. As it turned out, many of the participants of the show already have experience of playing at world-class events, such as the opening ceremony of the Universiade-2013 in Kazan. "It is important that you work as a large, close-knit team, it helps to go through nervousness before start. Universiade for all of us was a real culture shock, we have been experiencing over the fact whether we are able to represent adequately our cultural potential to the world. Now there is only joy for the upcoming big celebration, "- said the Mayor.

Igor Krutoy noted that this outstanding event, as the championship, will certainly illuminate the everyday life of Kazan. "I want to wish you that everything will go as well as at the Universiade. Universiade has become a turning point for Kazan; the world saw the capital of Tatarstan for the first time. I hope, this remarkable event as championship in Aquatics, will bring new positive changes to the life of the city and the republic", - said the artist.

Among the actors involved in the show there is a well-known singers of Tatarstan - Elmira Kalimullina and Dina Garipova, who will present new songs to the public. The singers thanked the city for the opportunity to participate in a show of international level.

Ilsur Metshin wished actors  a successful performance. "I am proud of the fact that such talents live in our city. You will have the honor to present Kazan worldwide. I am proud of you "- said the Mayor.

Note that the basis of the scenery of the performance will be a cascade of multiple pools with depths ranging from 5 cm to 3 m. Actors and objects can be immersed under water and emerge from it. Masters of synchronized swimming will work in a deep pool of 150 cubic meters. The air space will belong to the actors of the circus and all the coverage of the scene – to ballet dancers. The most important participants of a travel will become spectators of the ceremony; specific details will be given to them.

Most of action will take place in all possible planes, making the presentation rich and vivid that each spectator and the TV viewer will be able to include in the show.

Recall that especially for the residents and guests of Kazan show of the opening ceremony of the championship in water sports will be repeated every day in the "Tatneft-Arena" from July 26 to August 2. The only difference between the "Pilgrim” show and the opening ceremony itself will be the absence of the protocol part of the removal of the flags and the welcoming speeches.

The opening ceremony of 2 hours 30 minutes will be broadcast live on one of the federal channels and in the FINA Park. TV audience will be unprecedented - a show will be broadcasted in 200 countries at the same time.
