During this time the work of housing service organizations of Kazan come to the fore. Just the work during the New Year weekend will assess the activity of the heads of districts of Kazan and the leaders of municipal organizations, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor said today at a special working meeting.

"During the New Year holidays a big load falls onto the management companies, service organizations and municipal services. The heads of offices and the heads of districts will be responsible for their work. The New Year is not only a holiday calendar, but also the start of new work standards; now we will serve the housing stock to at a new level that will correspond to the status of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The work on the maintenance of the resting population becomes an indicator for assessing the activity of the heads of districts and the heads of municipal services", Ilsur Metshin said.

During the holidays housing and communal services have been recommended first to pay attention to the number of emergency teams and the round-the-clock work of mechanics and contracting organizations, timely cleaning from snow house territories, access to them and intra passages. It was also instructed to restrict unauthorized access to the cellars and attics of apartment buildings, to conduct an unscheduled inspection of smoke removal and ventilation systems, and also to clean pitched roofs from snow and icicles, and to ensure a timely removal of garbage during the holidays.

At the same time, the Housing and Public Utilities Committee should monitor the uninterrupted gas, electricity, water and heating supply as well as a timely and quality rendering of housing services.

Road services will be required to provide a daily output of a sufficient number of units of equipment and, if it is necessary, an additional amount of technology by enterprises and organizations in the city.

All the municipal services must work in such a way that the residents of Kazan will not have any complaints about their work during the holidays, it was stressed at the meeting.
