The “Burevestnik” complex includes the sports hall with parquet flooring, a dry swimming hall and a gym besides the pool with the size of 52x25 m. During the Universiade 2013 the water polo competitions will be held here. After the games the complex will be handled to the Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, the students of which will be able to spend here training sessions as well as recreational activities.
"We have not expected that the effect of victory in the struggle for the right to run the Universiade will be so strong. There are 24 sports facilities for the population benefit, and students of the Kazan University successfully living in the Village of Universiade", Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan said.
"Actually, I came to Kazan to verify how the government of the republic spends federal funds for the Universiade-2013 preparation. The fact that I have seen here convinced me that the Kazan choice as the capital of the World Student Games is correct - you know how to build well and how to win, " Sergei Stepashin, the Chairman of the Russian Audit Chamber noted; he has become an honorary guest of the opening ceremony of the “Burevestnik” pool. Of course the Chairman of RF Audit Chamber did not deprive of attention the village of the Universiade, the main object of Student Games in 2013. Sergei Stepashin has visited the 18th Village Building specifically three residential rooms: a video room, a computer room and a medical station.
"Thanks to our Student Village we imagine the student life, the appearance of a russian and Kazan student quite different. The 24th World Student Games opening is a real holiday for us in the territory adjacent to the Student Village", Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan said.
It is symbolic that college campuses have been populated by the next residents this day.
Sergei Stepashin has been completely satisfied with the seen. His record in the book of honorable guests of the Universiade Village sais about it; my best wishes for further development, Sergei Stepashin reinforced his best wishes for further development with the phrase" I see that the budget funds are spent effectively". It makes no sense to argue that such a statement signed by the Chairman of the Chamber of the country sounds more than a weighty assessment for all the works which the republican government and the administration of Kazan has spent on the preparation for the Universiade-2013.
