There must not be illegally installed kiosks in Kazan, Ilsur Metshin considers

(September 21, Taisiya Basharkina). "The problem of illegally placed kiosks (booths) must be resolved in the near future" Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan stated at the meeting with representatives for the Guild of Small and Medium Enterprises that has been held in the City Hall.

"All illegally installed kiosks must be removed", the Mayor declared. As a way out of this situation Ilsur Metshin offered to create Public Market instead of 150 kiosks of the representatives of the Guild and put all the outlets there, and decorate them in a unique style. But the suggestion did not satisfy the entrepreneurs. According to them, "not every person would go to the center to the market".

Another suggestion uttered by the Mayor of Kazan is to organize convenience stores instead of kiosks. Entrepreneurs could open such outlets having united by several people.

According to the Mayor of Kazan the problem must be resolved in the nearest time since this type of retail outlets is outdated. At the same time Ilsur Metshin expressed willingness to support small business by providing funds at a preferential interest rate.

The next meeting with the businesspeople will be held with the participation of representatives for urban services (network, gas companies, Vodokanal). The main task is to deal with those kiosks of the Guild which were not included in the scheme of the dislocation.

Yegor Makarov, the Guild Chairman was pleased with the outcome of the meeting and looked forward to further constructive dialogue with the authorities.
