Construction of 12 road interchanges will help to relieve roads of Kazan
(KZN.RU, September 16). Over the past 10 years the number of transport in the capital has increased by almost 3 times. 12 new interchanges, construction of which started in Kazan will help to solve the transport problem. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor checked out the work process.
Large-scale construction will be unfolded in coming years in the area of the Tankovoe Koltso and at the confluence of Orenburgsky and Fermskoe highways. Currentlythereisapreparationscheduleforroadconstruction.
"Until today just 5 interchanges were built in Kazan”, Ilsur Metshin noted, “today 12 more interchanges have been constructed"
During the check the Mayor of Kazan acquainted with the construction of pedestrian crossings in the city. Recall that it is planned to construct 23 new pedestrian crossings under the program for the road network developing of Kazan by the Universiade-2013.
Over recent years traffic flows have increased dramatically. So according to the Mayor the number of transport in the city has increased by almost 3 times for the first decade of the century. There were about 100 thousand cars the capital of Tatarstan in 2000. It is expected that by the end of this year the number of registered vehicles in Kazan will reach 300 thousand units. During today's check the Mayor expressed confidence that the construction will help to solve a difficult task in developing the road network facing the local authorities.
