I. Metshin: “I really want our children to grow up to be kind and sympathetic”
The citywide action on September 10 was the final chord of the autumn “Good Week”, which the capital of Tatarstan organized for the first time this year. It took place at several sites: Gorky Park, “Continent” and “Sosnovaya Roscha” (HoC Khimikov), in the park “Zvezdny”, and others. The actors performed in front of Kazan citizens and guests, master classes, competitions, draws, flash mobs were organized for them. The field kitchen was working. It was possible to taste fragrant pilaf in the park “Sosnovaya Roscha”.
Improvised trading lines worked in the renovated park areas. There you could buy crafts and sweets, created by Kazan schoolchildren. All the funds raised from their sale will go to the aid of those in need.
Ilsur Metshin thanked all participants of the action, first of all, children, for their open and kind hearts.
“Both as the father of four children and as the Mayor of Kazan, I really want our children to grow up to be kind, sympathetic, and always hear those who need help”, said the Mayor. “Help is not always money. It's a kind word, kind advice, support. I am glad that our desire to live in good Kazan has found such a response. Let's do everything to ensure that there was more kindness in our city and our life”.
The children gave the head of the city a collection of poems of disabled children “Music in Silence”, which was recently presented in Kazan.
