The Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the multimedia exhibition “Ukraine. At the turn of
the era”. The exposition is organized in the historical park “Russia – my
history”.
Ten thematic
exhibition halls cover the historical period from the founding of the Old
Russian state to today's events. The exposition reflects such events as the
Christianization of Rus’ by Knyazh Vladimir, the entry of Little Russia into
the Russian Kingdom, the annexation of Crimea, the creation of Novorossia in
the reign of Catherine II, the creation of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist
Republic, the World War II, disintegration of the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics, the beginning of the modern history of Ukraine, the tragedy of
Donbas, the return of Crimea and southeastern regions to Russia.
Unique photo and
video materials, newsreels, maps, posters and numerous archival documents were
prepared for visitors. During the creation of the exhibition, modern multimedia
technologies were used: projections, kinects and interactive panels.
The first
multimedia exhibition “Ukraine. At the turn of the era” was held from November
4 to 24 at the Manege Central Exhibition Center in Moscow. Over 55 thousand
people visited the exhibition in three weeks, including from Italy, Japan,
Armenia, Germany, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, the LPR and the DPR. In Kazan,
the exhibition will last from January 24 to February 24. Tatarstan President
Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the exposition and highly appreciated the
project.
