Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin has visited the match of amateur
yard hockey teams at school No. 70. Berket and Energetik teams played in the
final of the Cup of the best teams of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky city districts
among athletes born in 2008-2009.
“As a fan of Tatarstan hockey, I am pleased that this amazing game is popular in the republic,”- I. Metshin said. He thanked the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan, the President of Tatarstan Hockey Federation Nail Maganov, the leadership of the Ak Bars hockey club for the support of this sport, as well as for the support of children's hockey.
The Berket team won with a score of 5:2. N.Maganov and I.Metshin handed the team captains certificates of 500 thousand rubles for the purchase of sports equipment.
Twenty-four amateur teams will compete for gold medals in the city final of the tournament. In the Sport division, the games of the city stage have already ended, now the guys are competing at the republican level. The winners will represent Kazan and Tatarstan at the Golden Puck super final, which will be held in May.
For reference, in 2022, the Kazan hockey team Ak Bure for the first time became the silver medalist of the Golden Puck All-Russian tournament. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulated the young hockey players and handed the athletes the certificates of gratitude.
