Kazan "Ak Bars" lost victory for Bashkir "Salavat Yulaev"

 (Kazan City KZN.RU, September 13, Adelia Galieva). Today in the capital of Tatarstan an important hockey match between Kazan "Ak Bars" and Bashkir "Salavat Yulaev" took place, despite the active support of the crowd, it ended in defeat for the hosts with a score of 3: 4. The outcome of the match decided in shootouts. The game was visited by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin with his son and Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin.

Today the "barses" needed support as never before – it was the first home game for Kazan in the season. In addition, "barses" met with their old adversary, who is not willing to give the victory without a fight.

Before the game, under the arches of the ice palace Alexei Morozov’s sweater was raised - a legendary player of "Ak Bars", who became two-time Gagarin Cup holder, a three-time champion of Russia, holder of the European Cup and the Continental Cup together with the team. This symbolic gesture inspired Kazan fans, who actively supported the home team.

However, the first period tempered the hopes of the audience somehow - "Salavat Yulaev" managed to score 2 goals. Kazan citizens leveled the score only in the second period. The third period had to be decisive, but despite all the efforts of "Ak Bars" to keep the lead, the winner was not identified - each team scored a puck. The course of the game has not change in the overtime either. As a result, the player of "Salavat Yulaev" Linus Omark scored the winning penalty shot. The match ended with the score 3: 4.

Next game for the "Ak Bars" will be held September 16 at home - the citizens of Kazan will play with "Dynamo" of Minsk.
