Ilsur Metshin joined to the team of volunteers of World Cup 2015
(KZN.RU, July 16, Adelia Galieva). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin became today the part of a huge team of friendly volunteers of FINA World Cup 2015. The initiation was held during the meeting with the first volunteer assistants of World Cup in the Village of athletes.
As the head of the Department for work with volunteers "Executive Directorate of sports projects" Anna Zahmatova told, 2,500 people will become volunteer assistants of the organizing committee during the World Cup in water sports. Of those, 540 volunteers will arrive to Kazan from Serbia, Hungary, USA, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Great Britain and other countries, as well as from 20 regions of Russia: Udmurtia, Primorsky Krai, Moscow, Astrakhan region, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Krasnoyarsky kray.
Kazan and Tatarstan volunteers started working first; they have already got bright uniforms and are ready to go to the positions assigned to them, including the objects of competitive clusters. Mayor of Kazan met with 60 volunteers - students of the Kazan institutes, who will work in the FINA Park, as well as team-leaders.
Ilsur Metshin wished good luck at work to guys and noted that the success of the championship depends on them. "Volunteers are everywhere, at all events, but our ones are special! For today you are the flowers of Kazan and of our championship, "- the Mayor expressed confidence.
Also, the Mayor asked the guys, what languages do they speak and what requirements they have. It turned out that the majority of volunteers are polyglots, and have quite modest dreams - a photo as a souvenir.
At the end of the meeting the volunteers invited Ilsur Metshin to their team. "Each volunteer has such a badge that says that he is in the team! We want to take you in our great friendly team too! "- noted the guys and put the badge to the lapel of the Mayor’s jacket, initiating him as a volunteer of the World Cup-2015.
