I. Metshin about the work of Tatiana Prokofieva, the chief architect

10 years ago, we agreed with Tatiana Prokofieva to work together for the next 5 years. Then she worked in America. But I managed to persuade her to come to help her hometown in the improvement of public spaces and the renovation of the historical center and the preparation for the landmark events that took place in Kazan: Universiade, the FINA, the World Cup. Then I told her that this would be history, because, in these 10 years, Kazan will experience such rapid growth and development that America has been going through for 100 years. And I did not deceive her. There are no non-responsible positions; all managers bear their burden of responsibility. But the chief architect is the one who predetermines the development of Kazan for centuries ahead. She always managed to find the best solution, which took into account the interests of all citizens.

Tatiana Prokofieva leaves the post of the chief architect of Kazan. Over the years, she won the authority of the architectural community both in the republic and far beyond its borders. But we do not say goodbye to her. She will continue to participate in making important decisions for the city and work in town planning commissions as an architect.
