The inauguration ceremony of Russian President Vladimir Putin took place
today in the Andreyevsky Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. Vladimir
Putin took the oath to the people of Russia and then addressed the citizens.
Vladimir Putin began his speech by mentioning the participants of the
special military operation and those who are fighting for the Fatherland today.
He expressed confidence that Russia will be able to pass through a difficult
period with dignity and implement all the far-reaching projects aimed at
achieving the development goals.
“Our decisions regarding the
development of the country and its regions must be effective and fair and must
promote the prosperity of Russian families and improve their quality of life.
We have been and will continue to be open to strengthening good relations with
all countries that view Russia as a reliable and honest partner. Indeed, those
constitute the global majority,”- the President noted.
"I will do everything it takes, everything I can, to justify your confidence
in me, using the powers granted to me as the head of state by the Constitution.
At the same time, I would like to emphasize that the success of this endeavor
depend above all on our unity, integrity and our common desire to serve our
Fatherland, protect it, and work to the best of our abilities,”-Vladimir Putin
assured.
The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Mayor of Kazan
Ilsur Metshin, State Duma deputies from Tatarstan attended the ceremony.
Ilsur Metshin said that thanks to Vladimir Putin's support, the standard
of living in the capital of Tatarstan is constantly improving. Among the most
extensive programs: renovation of residential buildings and roads, holding
major international events, implementation of national projects (construction
of schools, kindergartens, sports venues, hospitals and landscaping of parks
and squares).
“Today I was lucky enough to witness an important historical moment.
Kazan has huge transformations supported by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, which
have significantly improved the quality of the urban environment and the
standard of living,”- the Mayor noted.
To date, the metro continues to be built in Kazan, thousands of square
meters of housing are being built, the new building of the Tatar theater is under
construction, and construction of the cathedral mosque will begin in the near
future.
“We don't want to stop there. The residents of Kazan supported the
President at the last election, and want to continue the development of Kazan.
We see that Vladimir Vladimirovich hears the voice of cities and responds to
the requests of their citizens. I am sure that new transformations will come
shortly, which positively affect the lives of Kazan residents,”- the head of
the city said.
The ceremony was traditionally attended by Heroes of Russia,
representatives of the judicial system, the diplomatic corps, major religious
denominations, members of the election headquarters and presidential
confidants.
The Russian presidential elections were held on 15-17 March, 2024.
According to the Central Election Commission Vladimir Putin won 87.28% of the
votes.
