In December, a new branch of the Doverie Center for Psychological and
Pedagogical Assistance to Children and Youth will start working in the
Privolzhsky city district. The facility will be one of six planned to open this
year, about two thousand children will be able to visit it annually. The new branch
will combine a teenage club and a psychological center. Together with the
Podrostok clubs, classes in programming, 3D modeling, carpentry and turning
skills will be held there.
The program of renovation of psychological centers was launched on the
initiative of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan. For the first time in 30 years, all
10 branches of the Doverie center located in different districts of the city
were overhauled. After that, the head of the republic decided to allocate six
more new facilities to the center, where repairs are currently underway. The
progress of renovation in one of these centers on Kulagina Street was inspected
today by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the Minister of Youth Affairs of
Tatarstan Rinat Sadykov.
“I want to thank Rustam Minnikhanov and the government of the republic,
after we opened ten offices after the renovation, the number of appeals and
consultations has doubled. Now the offices are comfortable and cozy. It is
important that now children seek for help in advance, without waiting for an
aggravation. This helps to resolve the problem without allowing conflict. As
experts say, it has even become trendy among young people to visit a
psychologist for a consultation. By the end of the year, we will open six more
new centers,”- the head of the city noted.
The peculiarity of the department in the Privolzhsky district is that it
combines a traditional psychological service and a teenage club of the Podrostok
network. Now the premises are undergoing renovation. To date, the work has been
completed by 50%. Now the construction workers are carrying out plastering,
installing electrical network.
Materials imitating the natural environment will be used in the interior
decoration of the center.
Previously, there used to be a traffic police station in the building.
Therefore, a cyber hall with stimulators of cars will be organized in the new
space, where teenagers will be able to learn the traffic laws. The children
will also attend classes in programming, 3D modeling, carpentry and turning,
Chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive
Committee of Kazan Aliya Zagidullina said.
Ilsur Metshin supported the initiative to open industrial design classes
in the center.
The branch on Kulagina Street is located in a residential neighborhood,
where the problem with institutions of additional education and additional
leisure is most acute today. It is planned that the center will serve up to two
thousand children annually, up to five people will be able to consult with a
psychologist a day.
