Ilsur Metshin together with schoolchildren plants cherry trees in the new park in Salavat Kupere
Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, together with students of the school No.188 “Bionics” and No.189 “Zaman”, planted 15 cherry trees in the new park in the Salavat Kupere district. In total, 400 trees will be planted here - poplars, maples, apple trees, birches and others.
“I am glad that today we planted trees together with the school students, the end of September and the beginning of October is the best time for this”, - Ilsur Metshin said. According to him, the landscaping of the territory will improve the future park and make it more comfortable. “We have started the construction of a park in a vacant lot with an area of 6.5 hectares. The construction will take time, but the residents of Salavat Kupere will have their own public space with playgrounds, a walking area, benches and lighting”, - the Mayor noted.
Azamat Ilyasov, a student of the eighth grade of school No.188, and Aidar Salakhov, a student of the tenth grade gymnasium No.189 “Zaman”, helped the head of the city to plant trees. The students said that they are happy to participate in the improvement of the park. “The park is located right next to the school, so we can spend time here after school. We can't wait for all the work to be completed”, - Azamat Ilyasov addressed the head of the city.
Poplars, elms, pines, maples, birches, apple trees, chestnuts and cherry were selected taking into account the period of their flowering. Seedlings were brought from the Laishevsky district of the republic. Specialists of the MUE “Gorvodzelenkhoz” will take care of the trees. Now, because of the rains, the trees do not require constant watering.
Residents of the district can already see the results of the construction of the park. Utilities are supplied here, storm sewers are installed, video cameras, lighting, automatic irrigation systems are installed, and pedestrian sidewalks are equipped.
The new park is located at the intersection of Nail Yusupov and Alfiya Avzalova streets. According to the concept, the public space will be divided into three thematic zones: for relaxation, for activities and extreme sports, as well as a central square.
The construction of the first stage of the active recreation area has been completed in the park.
