According to the results of the open competition, the Committee on Children
and Youth Affairs was headed by a well-known 33-year-old Kazan entrepreneur,
blogger and host of a TV program Mintimer Nugmanov. This decision was made at the
meeting of the expert council chaired by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.
“There are no losers today. All participants are quite young. For us, this competition
is an opportunity to meet new people who want to change Kazan. A large number
of applications have been received. We have carefully studied the profiles of candidates
and their vision of youth policy. These 6 finalists are leaving the competition
in a new capacity. We have seen and noticed each of you. We will be glad to see
you in our new projects”, - Ilsur Metshin said.
The projects of the finalists were evaluated by the expert council.
Maria Vyugina, chair of the Youth Parliament at the Kazan City Duma, Bulat Gismetdinov, press secretary of the
Department of Culture of the administration of the Aviastroitelny and
Novo-Savinovsky districts, Anton Spiridonov, president of the Regional Public
Organization “Youth Development”, Alina Sharonova, deputy chair of the
Committee on Children and Youth Affairs of Kazan, Mintimer Nugmanov, entrepreneur,
blogger and host of the author's program on TV, Marat Urazaev, deputy Chairman
of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs of Kazan, qualified for the
finals. They shared their vision of the development of the youth policy.
Mintimer Nugmanov proposed to develop a multifunctional portal “Our People”,
allowing municipal enterprises to place their vacancies specifically for young
people. Also, in his opinion, it is necessary to open a special legal
assistance center in the city to provide consultations free of charge, as well
as to introduce a platform for discussing political issues. According to M.
Nugmanov, media personalities can have a positive impact on the younger
generation, so he suggested holding regular meetings with famous people of the
republic and the country.
The winner of the competition, Mintimer Nugmanov, graduated from the Kazan
branch of the Russian Academy of Justice. He started his career in 2006 as an
assistant director of the Kazan City Hall. After that, he worked as a
correspondent on television, PR manager at Kazgorset (“Ufanet”), director and
founder of a number of companies, headed of a network of catering
establishments, the KVN league “Our League” and was a host of the author's TV
program.
The head of the city noted that the new chairman faces the task of
implementing interesting projects in youth policy.
