I. Metshin: “Tatarstan has repeatedly proved that it is able to implement the most ambitious projects"

The implementation of significant projects aimed at improving the life quality of citizens was discussed today at the meeting of the political council of the Kazan local branch of the “United Russia”. It took place in the Kazan City Hall. Ilsur Metshin, the secretary of the local branch of the party, the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, chaired the meeting. 28 out of the 35 members of the local political council attended the meeting, there was a necessary quorum for making a decision.

Olga Voronova, the head of the Executive Committee of the Kazan local branch of the “United Russia”, said that there are 12 federal, 6 regional, and 18 local party projects related to the program “My Kazan”. Since the beginning of the year, more than 150 events have been held in the capital of the RT, most of which are social ones.

“All projects are born where the situation requires actions, a systematic approach and a focus on results”, said O. Voronova. Thus, free consultations of family psychologists were organized for parents within the framework of the “Strong family”. Such meetings aroused great interest among parents, noted O. Voronova. In addition, deputy receptions with the advice of qualified lawyers are regularly held in public party receptions for the population.

Since the beginning of this year, the school has resumed classes of the party activists. Today, more than 100 secretaries of primary departments are its students. “We have tried to build the work of the school so that the topics of the studies deal with the pressing problems that citizens face every day. The classes discussed the transition to a new system for dealing with solid municipal waste. The listeners familiarized themselves with information on new fares for public transport, changes in housing construction”, said O. Voronova.

The priority for the party is the federal project “Clean Country”. In February and April, two roundtables were held, at the initiative of the party where the participants discussed the implementation of environmental reform.

Patriotic education is another important area in the work of the party. Olga Voronova said that by the 74th anniversary of Victory Day, the Kazan branch of the party had the initiative to establish a memorial plaque with the names of 50 dead Tatarstan residents of the Red Banner Order of Suvorov II degree of the 146th rifle division. In addition, on the eve of Victory Day, the monument to the dead soldiers and the territory adjacent to it near the Kazan cadet boarding school named after Hero of the Soviet Union B. Kuznetsov will be renewed.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, raised the issue of preparing and conducting a preliminary vote on candidates for the subsequent nomination of the United Russia party as candidates for deputies of the RT State Council and elections of deputies of the RT State Council. This week the Mayor of Kazan applied for participation in the United Russia primaries.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, I. Metshin noted that the capital's party organization has always actively worked in the field, helping the city to become one of the comfortable, modern and hospitable subjects of the country.

Internal elections will be held on May 26. Ilsur Metshin emphasized that Tatarstan is the only region of the country where 47 programs are being implemented aimed at solving vital issues, including housing, kindergartens, repair of clinics, creating a comfortable environment and much more. “Tatarstan has repeatedly proved that it is capable of implementing the most ambitious projects. It is important to consolidate the position of the region’s leader”, said I. Metshin.

At the end of his speech, the Mayor recalled that the city subbotnik will take place on April 20 in the capital of the RT and urged everyone to join in cleaning the city.
