(KZN.RU,
April 15). On April 28, Kazan will celebrate Workers' Memorial Day, which is
marked the 100th anniversary of the creation of the international labor
organization this year. The capital of Tatarstan holds the month of labor
protection dedicated to the prevention of injuries and occupational diseases.
Artur Valiakhmetov, the chairman of the Committee for Economic Development,
told about work in this area in Kazan today at the Business Monday.
As the
speaker said, the Committee together with the Social Insurance Fund regularly
holds explanatory work with city organizations on preventive measures of
industrial injuries. The main goal is to explain to employers the possibility
of carrying out relevant activities at the expense of money received from the
Social Insurance Fund. Among them are the following: conducting a special assessment
of working conditions, training in labor protection, sanatorium-resort
treatment of workers, conducting mandatory periodic medical examinations, and
others. A full list of such events is posted on the websites of the Social
Insurance Fund, the Association of Trade Unions, the Association of Enterprises
and Industrialists of the Republic, and on the Portal Kzn.Ru, said A.
Valiakhmetov.
You can
submit an application for receiving financial security either in paper form or
in the form of an electronic document through the portal of state and municipal
services. The Chairman of the Committee noted that from 2019, organizations can
send workers of pre-retirement age for sanatorium-resort treatment at the
expense of Social Insurance Fund. The number of funds for these purposes will
be up to 30% of the amount of insurance premiums. In addition, training
seminars for personnel and accounting services with the involvement of the
Foundation’s specialists are planned to be held at the sites of the district
administrations.
“In
addition, interdepartmental work is aimed at providing employers with the
conditions stipulated by the labor legislation on the temporary disability of
workers. Within the framework of the project “Demography”, this applies to the
appointment and payment of benefits for pregnancy and childbirth both on the
basis of a paper disability sheet”, said A. Valiakhmetov. He added that some
Kazan organizations do not accept hospital in electronic form, and require
their employees to produce paper forms. The speaker focused on the fact that
the translation of documents into electronic form is beneficial for employers
themselves in the first place, as this simplifies interaction with state
services.
“Labor
protection is the sanctuary. Each of the managers who use hired labor must
comply with the law and take care of their people”, said Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, and instructed to keep this work under control.
