I.Metshin inspected the territory for an auxiliary facility of the school №114 in Privolzhsky district

(KZN.RU, March 27, Alina Berezhnaya). In Privolzhsky district of Kazan the second educational block will be opened in the school №114 on Vladimir Kulagin street, №2 which will allow to solve the problem of limited school facilities. It is supposed that there will be the lessons of Fine art, technologies, health and music. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited school №114 and examined the territory.

The additional educational building will be built on the waste ground behind the school. As Vitaly Stakheev, the director of educational institution, told, today 568 pupils study at the school assuming a planned capacity of 340 pupils. Year after year the microdistrict expands, new children come in, and at the same time there are the problems of the overcrowding and limited school facilities. So, according to Vitaly Stakheev, because of demography growth this year instead of 2 Grade 1 of primary school we have 3 ones, and lessons for first-graders according to the requirement of the Federal legislation should be only taught in the first shift.

Many parents want children to go to school №114, as it has a strong teaching staff. The school takes 14 places in the rating of comprehensive schools in 57 general educational establishments.

The Mayor of Kazan visited a few educational classes, in particular, he examined the choreographic hall and the computer science class, where Nadir Altynbaev and Islam Sharafutdinov, pupils of Grade 7, demonstrated to Ilsur Metshin their achievements. I.Metshin asked children about their further plans. «We made robots on our own, programmed them, and now they go to special trajectory. In the future we want to become programmers», - told Nadir Altynbaev. Ajgul Karimova, the teacher of computer science, added that now about 30 schoolers study at the robotics club. «Our pupils participate actively in the Olympiads, they aspire to education, and we want to develop robotics, because it is a promising avenue», - told Ajgul Karimova. Also she added that the special program enabling to program robots for serious problems is necessary for children's participation in the world Olympiads.

The leader of the city evaluated the children's success and wished them good luck. «It is big happiness that there are such teachers who silently root for their pupils. Definitely, it is necessary to support talented children who thirst for education. And now tt is really up to us», - summed up I.Metshin.

We will remind, the problem of limited school facilities was mentioned in the meeting of Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, with the representatives of the public in Kazan this February. Kadriya Nigmatullina, the teacher of the school №114, told about the proposal to increase school areas through the construction of multi-storey schools in heavily populated districts. On her opinion, using the waste lands around the schools can help to solve this problem.

Vladimir Putin readdressed that question to Ilsur Metshin, which answered that question was under the control, and the different possibilities were being considered for its implementation.

Andrey Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration of Kazan, Azat Nigmatzyanov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee,  Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, Marat Samigulin, the head of the Capital Construction and Reconstruction Office, and Elmira Takhavieva, the deputy head of the Department of Education, also took part in the inspection.
