The President of the RT and the Mayor of Kazan visited the festival in the park “Chernoe Ozero”

(KZN.RU, December 25, Alsu Safina). Kazan is preparing to celebrate the New Year. Every day all new festive grounds are opened in different parts of the city, colorful lights are lit on the Christmas trees. Yesterday the Christmas tree solemnly opened in the park “Chernoe Ozero”. Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, watched the festive program with the residents and guests of the city.

The festive atmosphere reigns in the park “Chernoe Ozero” this evening. A Christmas tree was installed in the central platform. Near it today you could meet the main New Year characters Ded Moroz, Snow Maiden and a piglet, the symbol of the coming 2019, as well as other fairy tale characters and animals. Together with the visitors, they danced, sang, and, of course, led round dances around the Christmas tree.

This year, the park was decorated with numerous garlands, illuminations, as well as the favorite object of many city residents and tourists – a 6-meter chandelier. An entertainment program has been prepared in the park on the pre-holiday days and in the New Year.

The President of the RT and the Mayor of Kazan were met by mimes in snow-white suits and barrel-organs in their hands. They passed to the Christmas tree, looked into huge green old chests placed nearby. The chests were outlets with warm clothes, hot tea, sweets, and treats for every taste.

In the other part of the park, there was a completely different entertainment. For the second year, the center of visitors’ attraction is a skating rink with an area of 6 thousand square meters. Wooden skirting is installed around the rink, and a rubber coating is laid on the stairs. A cafe with snacks, hot tea, coffee and non-alcoholic mulled wine will work in the rental building to keep guests warm. 250 pairs of skates were purchased to the opening of the winter season.

At the same time, there was a master class on curling at the other end of the rink, joined by Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin. They tried to throw a stone in the direction of a target marked on the ice, a house, and also took pictures with other participants of the master class.

Rustem Gafarov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, Andrey Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, Daria Sannikova, the director of the Committee for Tourism Promotion, Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, Marat Zakirov, the head of the Directorate of Parks and Squares, and others visited the park together with the President of the RT and the Mayor of Kazan.

The park “Chernoe Ozero” will be one of the sites of Kazan, where residents and guests of the city could celebrate the New Year. The program with a disco and video broadcast of the addresses of the President of Russia and the President of the RT will begin at 10 pm on December 31 and will last until 2 am on January 1. Folk festivities will continue in the park from 1 to 7 of January.
