(KZN.RU, December 11, Ksenia Shvetsova). In the autumn of this year, the first youth club “Laser” opened in Derbyshki. In addition to numerous technical, creative, and sports circles, an early development school for kids and a joint fitness section for mothers with children work in the new club. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the overhauled club building, talked to the children, and also appreciated the exhibition of innovative areas of work of the association “Podrostok”.
The two-story building at Klenovaya Street, 23a, built in 1989, was transferred to the municipality by the Ministry of Land and Property Relations of the RT last year. The overhaul started at the beginning of February of this year, the OOO “Armida+” was the contracting organization. Last May, the head of the city inspected the work progress.
Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, reminded that earlier, the building housed the city polyclinic, then the department of the Federal Migration Service. Therefore, during major repairs, they had to carry out large-scale work on the redevelopment of the premises.
Today the building has changed. It is a big, modern, bright teenage club, which is attended by 365 children. In the future, an increase in the number of pupils is expected since the project capacity of the club is 680 people.
The “Laser” is the first teenage club, which opened in one of the largest micro-districts of the city, where about 10 thousand children and teenagers live today. Such an unusual name was given to the club for a reason. On the basis of a technical-oriented institution, children study optical and laser technologies, 3D modeling. In addition, it is planned to develop modern areas of circle work and sections such as photo and video studio, laser technology. Along with technical creativity in the center, children can engage in choreography, vocal, martial arts, fine arts, journalism. The direction of early development is open for the youngest residents, and the joint fitness section is open to mothers with children.
A photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creation of the MBU “Podrostok” is open on the first floor of the club. It unites 58 multidisciplinary clubs and centers where about 13000 children, teenagers and young people are involved. The photos, which were collected in all the teen clubs of the city, depicted children and teenagers who were engaged in various sections in different years.
“This is the 80s because the uniform is three sizes larger, and this photo presents ice skating, this is the 90s”, smiling, the Mayor recognized the period. The head of the city highly appreciated the work of the exhibition organizers for a good idea.
Then he got acquainted with the exhibition of innovative and relevant areas of work of the association “Podrostok”. Now, this mobile exposition is demonstrated in all major clubs and centers of the city. Ruslan Semenov, the deputy director of the MBU “Podrostok”, explained that children and adolescents from different institutions, viewing the exhibition, can vote for those areas that they are interested in. In the future, those sections will open on the basis of their clubs.
There are many options. The exposition brings together a variety of areas of children's creativity: from the media sector, within which UniFilm children's film school works, to the environmental direction and garden works.
I. Metshin examined the products that were made in the craft workshop and talked with the children who watched the master mold the beautiful souvenirs from clay. “We opened this teen club after a major overhaul and tried very hard for you. There will be a lot of interesting things. You will learn a lot here. The knowledge and skills that you will receive will help you in your life”, said the Mayor in a conversation with children.
A device for processing plastic bottles and works from leather were among the exhibits. “We pay great attention to environmental education”, said the deputy director of the MBU “Podrostok”.
The Mayor became interested in another exhibit. “This is a smart garden-bed”, said R. Semenov. “The children grow various plants here, now, for example, everbearing strawberries are growing here”. Many residents of Derbyshki have private houses, there are vegetable gardens, so the children are familiar with the technology of growing various crops. It is very interesting to them that on smart garden-bed seedlings grow much faster due to special lighting and watering systems. Today, these garden-beds are placed in many clubs, and the children even began to compete with each other who will grow a plant faster.
A special place in the exposition was occupied by products made by children with the help of a 3D pen, for example, the model of the Kul Sharif Mosque. A 3D pen is a regular pen with a polymer thread.
Ruslan Semenov noted that in the future the network of teen clubs will see a lot of changes. “Thanks to the repair, there are now more opportunities to invite teenagers, young people. Adults come as well, and we will try to develop new directions. We plan to work with the adult population so that in the first half of a day, our clubs also live life, not just in the evenings”.
The head of the city also attended a lesson in dance and acting, becoming one of the spectators of a children's play about Ded Moroz and Snow Maiden. At the end of the visit, I. Metshin congratulated the students and the team of the club on the opening and wished them success in their work and studies.
