I. Metshin: “There should be sports leaders in the sports capital of Russia”
(KZN.RU, December 10, Alina Berezhnaya). The team of the Kazan Municipality won the first place in the Games of municipal employees of the RT. The victory in these competitions was the fifth for the team of Kazan. Svetlana Vostrikova, the chairperson of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sport, announced this today at the Business Monday.
She reminded that the Games had started in the Republic on March 10. As part of the tournament, participants competed in 8 sports: skiing, volleyball, futsal, badminton, table tennis, athletics, chess, and swimming.
The second place was taken by the team of the Aznakaevsky district, municipal employees of the Zainsky district became bronze winners.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that, first of all, leaders should show an example of a healthy lifestyle for citizens. “There should be sports leaders in the sports capital of Russia. Everyone, starting with our President, leads a healthy lifestyle, constantly engages in physical education, sports, and we, first of all, have to set an example, both to our residents and our families”, said I. Metshin.
