(KZN.RU,
November 22, Ksenia Shvetsova). The repair work was completed at the Kazan tram
depot that was carried out for three years. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan,
assessed the new conditions created for the employees of the MUP
“Metroeletrotrans”. He inspected the updated equipment and renovated premises,
and also met with the employees of the transport company.
The repair
shop was updated during the overhaul. Currently, about 30 people work in it.
Asfan Galyavov, the director of the MUP “Metroelectrotrans”, showed the head of
the city new equipment, in particular, lifting devices were purchased for the
shop. Part of the equipment purchased will go to the shop later. But today, the
overhaul made it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of work.
Petr Stukhin, the deputy director of the depot for repair, said that not a
single tram goes on a run without prior inspection and, if necessary, prompt
repair. At night, after work is finished, the cars enter the depot through a
car wash installed at the entrance to the building, passing through a viewing
pit. At the slightest fault, they are immediately eliminated or sent for
repairs.
Next to the
repair shop, there is a site where turning and milling works are carried out,
rolling-stock units and assemblies are being restored, as well as the recently
opened production control center. “Not a single tram or repair is carried out
without the participation of employees of the production center. They give
daily outfits to the repair shop and monitor their implementation”, said the
director of the company. More than 70 trams go to Kazan roads daily, which
serve 6 route lines. At the same time, the rolling stock continues to be
replenished with new cars. This year only, Kazan purchased 20 new trams.
The control
room was also updated during the overhaul. “Are there any troubles accessing
the line?” I. Metshin asked dispatcher Liliya Abdulina, who has been working at
the enterprise for more than 17 years. “Now everything is in a normal mode,
there is no problem”, answered the dispatcher.
At the end
of the depot inspection, the head of the city visited the administrative
building where free training of trolleybus drivers was being held. “This is a
regular practice. We train drivers with a guarantee of further employment”,
said A. Galyavov. He added that the repair of all the depot premises lasted
about 3 years. “We completely reconstructed the tram depot. We changed the
boilers in the boiler rooms, now it is warm in all the rooms, the workshops
were repaired”, said A. Galyavov.
“We saw the
conditions created by the management of the “Metroelectrotrans” and were
surprised in a good way. Not only the rolling stock is changing, but, very
importantly, working conditions are changing. The repair base, cabins, common
areas are updated. All this indicates that the director cares about his team.
And this is important to take care of both passengers and the employees of
transport enterprises”, said I. Metshin.
The MUP
“Metroelectrotrans” owns one tram depot, two trolleybus depot, and one subway
depot. The company employs 2471 people, including 495 tram and trolleybus
drivers.
Ildar
Shakirov, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, Aidar Abdulkhakov, the
chairman of the Committee on Transport, Roman Fatkhutdinov, the head of the
Sovetsky district, and others also took part in the inspection of the depot.
