(KZN.RU, November 21, Alsu Safina). The external
improvement was completed near the Temple of All Religions in Kazan. This year with the support of the
President of the RT it was resolved to put to order and equip a parking zone
and the public transport stop of one of the tourist gravity centres. Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, has checked the implementation of this decision,
noting that the Temple of All Religions attracts tourists by its extraordinary
look, and the external improvement of the area will make visiting of this
object more comfortable and available for the Kazan citizens and the capital
city guests.
The decision of equipping territory of the Temple of
All Religions was accepted in the summer of this year. The object is very
popular among tourists, the number of visitors ranges from 50-100 persons to
1-2 thousand persons a day, Farid Khairullin, the temple manager, quoted
figures. The big flow of visitors is observed in tourist season, days-off and
holidays.
During the work the traffic flows separated the roads
with the way to the parking zone, the stopping platform "Pereprava"
was equipped, also the traffic lights, the pedestrian crossings, the sidewalks
and street illumination were set up on this section.
Sergei Mironov, the chapter of the Kirovsky and
Moskovsky districts’ administration, told that earlier tourists traveled by
cars and the tourist buses stayed along the road, because of this situation the
traffic was frequently hampered. Due to a new parking zone which contains about
20 cars and 6 tourist buses, this problem has been solved. Besides the
sidewalks to the railway station "Old Arakchino" were equipped,
because it was quite difficult for the citizens to reach it.
The parking zone management and the external
improvement of the territory were developed by the Executive Committee of Kazan
and "Tatdorproekt", the Joint-Stock Company.
Farid Khairullin, the temple manager, told to the
Mayor of their plans on development of the object as well. Now the
reconstruction efforts in the Temple are fully under way. The object was
damaged by fire in the spring of the last year. To date, the Egyptian hall has
been entirely restored. The front entrance to the Temple will be transferred
before the New Year's holidays. Also a new Buddhist hall will be built as a
pagoda, and the museum-memorial of Ildar Khanov, the Temple of All Religions
founder, will be located there.
Igor Kulyazhev, the Executive committee deputy head -
the chairman of the Committee of External Improvement, and Eduard Danilov, the
director of "Glavtatdortrans", took part in the event as well.
