(KZN.RU, September 1, Ksenia Shvetsova). Today a new polytechnic lyceum №182 opened in Kazan. It is built in one of the youngest and most actively developing areas of the city, the RC “Salavat Kupere”. The lyceum became a long-awaited gift for the Day of Knowledge for more than a thousand students. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the RT, congratulated schoolchildren, their parents, and teachers on the new school year and the opening of the modern lyceum.
Currently, 1123 students are enrolled in the lyceum for 1224 places, 42 classes are formed. The engineering-technological, physical-mathematical, and sports fields were chosen in the school as the program. In addition, a music school, a theater section, and various sports sections will operate on the basis of the school. Children could choose their activities for themselves.
"It's not just a school, it's a spaceship, we've never seen something like it in our whole life. There are 2 swimming pools, a gym, classrooms of chemistry, physics, astronomy, history, a wonderful restaurant-dining room, a sports block. And all of this is for you, dear children. You can realize all your talents”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulating students on the Day of Knowledge. “Dear children, let your path be kind, be diligent students, please your parents, grandparents, teachers, and us with your successes!”.
Separately, the head of the city thanked the leadership of the republic and the country for their attention to education. He recalled that the school was built at the expense of federal funds. I. Metshin also thanked the contractor company “Ak Tash”, the designers, architects, and builders, thanks to which the school has been opened on time.
The construction of schools is a priority in the work not just for Kazan, but for the whole republic, said Leila Fazleeva. “Today, 8 schools are being opened in the republic. It is a huge number of new educational institutions, more than 418000 children will sit at desks, more than 50000 go to the first grade”, said L. Fazleeva and wished the children all success in school.
The lyceum will become the center of not only educational, but also social, cultural, scientific life of the entire micro-district. It is a beautiful, large building with spacious classrooms with the most modern equipment. The assembly hall for 560 seats will host major events of the “Salavat Kupere”. “On behalf of all lyceum employees, children, and parents, I thank the leadership of the republic and the city, the builders. I cannot really put in words those feelings that we feel”, said the headmistress. “We promise that our lyceum will train successful, competitive, worthy citizens of our city!”
Afterward, Gazinur Akhmetov, the head of the contract organization “Act Tash”, handed over to the headmistress a symbolic golden key. According to children, they didn’t expect that instead of a regular school they would go to a modern high school with a bright design, each office of which is like a separate world dedicated to a particular science that they will have to comprehend. For example, a mobile planetarium was installed for students as part of the study of astronomy.
The Mayor inspected the physics and chemistry classroom with modern equipment, where students took part in unusual experiments.
Also, the Mayor inspected the swimming pools, a gym, a children's and sports ground, a football field with a modern covering. “We built such palaces only for the Universiade, and could not have dreamed that it would not be long before we could build such objects for sports at the place of residence. You can hold competitions here! Thanks to this, children will get used to practicing physical culture and sports from the first grade every day”, said the head of the city.
After that, I. Metshin visited a technology lesson where, apart from other equipment, laser machines were installed, as well as at the Tatar language lesson for first-graders, who were already given the first "Diaries of Good Deeds" in their life.
There are recreation areas for students, urns for separate garbage collection are installed in the corridors of the school. Guzel Ananieva, the director of the Department of Food and Social Catering, showed the Mayor a dining room and a school restaurant.
“For the first time in history over the long, long decades, we open 3 schools at the same time. Let it be happy, cozy, beloved and dear to all children. Good luck!”, the Mayor wished the students.
