Ilsur Metshin: “Together, we are rejoicing at the revival of Yudino!”

(KZN.RU, August 29, Ksenia Shvetsova). Kazan residents celebrate the centennial anniversary of Yudino. A holiday organized for citizens on the site in front of the House of Culture “Zheleznodorozhnikov”, gathered the best creative collectives of the city. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, as well as Oleg Belozerov, the director of the OAO Russian Railways, Ildar Gilmutdinov, the deputy of the State Duma, and Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’, arrived to congratulate the residents.

Addressing the citizens, Ilsur Metshin reminded that large-scale projects are being carried out to the anniversary of the settlement, during which the micro-district is being transformed. “Together, we rejoice at the revival of Yudino, which became possible thanks to the support and decision of Rustam Minnikhanov, our President, and Oleg Belozerov, the chairman of the board of the Russian Railways. It is a great honor and a great pleasure for me to congratulate the residents of the capital, the railwaymen of the Republic of Tatarstan on an anniversary and together with you, rejoice at the huge infrastructural changes that are and will be taking place in Yudino!”

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the projects conceived for implementation are being implemented and this would be impossible without the development of the republic economy. “The main component in implementing any projects is the transport infrastructure and railroad issues. And the most important thing in the railways is people. You are our invaluable capital, and we strive to create all conditions for comfortable living, studying and working. We continue to work in this direction, and we wish you every success!”, said the President of the RT and thanked the leadership of the OAO Russian Railways for their support.

Oleg Belozerov reminded that today the puck was also laid in the foundatiob of the covered ice arena with artificial ice. He said that the residents can be proud of their achievements. “Over the years, many events have occurred. You, the inhabitants of the settlement, made the history. During the Great Patriotic War, the local depot repeatedly received the passing Red Banner. The armored train “Red Tatarstan” was assembled here, which reached Warsaw. Caring for people is always the main thing. Regions of our country and their development depend entirely on the railways, and hence on your good work as well”.

At the end of the official part, R. Minnikhanov and O. Belozerov awarded employees of the Russian Railways of Tatarstan and Kazan.

Infrastructural changes that took place in the settlement on the anniversary date have not yet been completed. Thus, one of the most ambitious changes will be the long-awaited rebirth of the recreation center “Zheleznodorozhnikov”. During the visit, the President and the Mayor inspected the concept of the reconstruction project of the House of Culture, which was presented by the architect Regina Suyundukova. She briefly talked about the main ideas for transforming the building of the House of Culture noting that in the future the project will be improved. “The concept is that we took the columns from the main facade and made a projection on the glass, performed a stylization, and we got a modern interpretation of these same columns”, explained R. Suyundukova. “We also preserve everything that is the subject of protection in the interiors. In general, it will be a multifunctional house of culture”, she said.

The reconstruction of the cultural heritage site will be conducted jointly with the Ministry of Culture. “We are trying to use modern materials to make everything convenient for children. At the same time, we are trying to preserve the traditions and historical appearance of the building”, said S. Mironov.

The program for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Yudino will last until the evening. The holiday will end with fireworks.
