Ilsur Metshin: “Two thousand yards in Kazan have already been repaired, one third have left”

(KZN.RU, August 7, Alsu Safina). In Kazan, the repair of the yard of the houses №24, 26 and 28 on Glushko Street and №1 and 3 on Faizi Street was completed. It became one of 430 objects included in the program of improvement of adjacent territories and driveways of apartment buildings for this year. In less than a month, side stones and road surfaces were replaced there. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the results of the work.

Gulia Ivanova, a resident of the Sovetsky district, got the Mayor’s attention to this yard: at the end of June, she came to the reception to the Mayor of the city. Then she raised a painful question - the need to repair the road, which was never conducted after the delivery of the house in 2002.

Then it was already known that the house №26 on Glushko Street is included in the program of improvement of the adjacent areas and driveways of apartment buildings for this year. Moreover, it was decided to cover the territory of neighboring houses: №24 and 28 on Glushko Street, №1 and 3 in Faisy Street.

Work began on July 2. The area of the territory was 3.43 thousand square meters, including 2.5 thousand square meters of the carriageway and 0.93 thousand square meters of sidewalks. The cost of repairs amounted to 7.2 million rubles.

Ilsur Metshin saw photographs of what the road and sidewalks looked like before they were repaired. “There are roads like that in the villages, or probably even better. Yes, the difference is noticeable”, the Mayor appreciated the changes.

The Mayor of Kazan, who came to inspect and evaluate the execution of the works, was met by Gulia Ivanova. She thanked the head of the city for the repairs done. But there were a number of faults, she pointed out. The Mayor noted that contractors should explain to residents why all decisions were made.

In addition, Gulia Ivanova pointed to a site 15-20 cm long near the entrance, where there is no side stone. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, explained that the yard has not yet been delivered, and contractors will need to eliminate all identified faults. The city technical supervision service provides quality control and compliance with the norms of road works carried out in the current year. The work will be confirmed only after the elimination of the identified faults. “Everything will be done by the time the yard is delivered”, said I. Kulyazhev.

“In due time, the asphalt was poorly made, the GVF then delivered these roads in winter. Of course, the good road in the yard should not become unusable for 17 years. We are now repairing yards, which are 40-50 years old”, noted Ilsur Metshin. “It is great that you care, you do the right thing demanding and insisting”. The Mayor of Kazan also instructed Igor Kulyazhev and Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration, not to confirm the work done until all the claims are satisfied.

In general, the residents were very satisfied with the fact that the overhaul reached their yard. Residents of the houses expressed gratitude to the head of the city and contractors. “It is done really well. Everything is fine, we are happy and a little shocked. Such repairs for the first time in so many years!”, they said.

Ilsur Metshin noted that the implementation of such a large-scale program became possible due to the President of the RT. “This is an important work that we started in 2011. Then it was an unbearable weight”, noted the Mayor. “Thanks to Rustam Minnikhanov for making a decision every year to allocate funds. Thanks to his support and the presidential program, 2000 yards in Kazan have already been repaired, two-thirds of the program is completed, and just a third remains”.

This year, 430 yard territories with a total area of 457 thousand square meters will be repaired in Kazan. The cost of the works is 1 billion rubles. It is planned to install children's play complexes, sports equipment, benches In 32 yards that are subject to complex improvement in addition to repair of asphalt concrete covering. 5 thousand parking spaces will appear in the yards as well. In total, the number will increase by 29 thousand following the results of the improvement of the yards since 2011. For today, the work on the repair and improvement of yards are 55% complete. The work is scheduled to be fully completed by the end of September.
