The reconstruction work on the road on Bratiev Battalovyh Street is completed by 60%

(KZN.RU, August 3, Alsu Safina). The reconstruction of the road along Bratiev Battalovyh Street from the Orenburgsky Tract to Belye Rosy Street (micro-district “M-14”) is in full swing. By October, it is planned to expand the roadway to four lanes. There will be sidewalks and bicycle paths, a green zone, and light poles. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the progress of the works. He noted that the reconstruction of the road will allow solving a whole tangle of issues and problems that the residents of this developing part of the Privolzhsky district are facing now.

The length of the reconstructing site is 1664 km. Before the reconstruction, there was a 2-lane road 7 meters wide. There was no lighting, no sidewalks, it was unsafe for pedestrians and motorists. Marat Sattarov the general director of the contract organization “Alekseevskdorstroy”, told the head of the city that the roadway will expand to 16 m after reconstruction, the traffic of cars will be organized in 4 lanes. Sidewalks with a width of 3 meters will be equipped on both sides of the roadway, as well as a 6-meter green zone. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, said that they will make a marking on the sidewalks to divide them into a pedestrian zone and bicycle paths with a width of 1.2 m.

The whole complex of works provides the reconstruction of water supply, sewerage, gas supply, communications, power supply, storm drainage networks, and road safety elements.

Marat Sattarov said that a large amount of work is connected with the reorganization of communications, and the removal of networks is almost half of the cost. For today, the reconstruction of this section of the road is on schedule, the work is complete by 60%. “We are now working on storm sewers. At the same time, 6 subcontractors are working on the installation of communication networks. We are working around the clock to arrange the land and road surface”, he said.

In addition, it is expected to install about 100 lighting poles, traffic lights and make 5 bus stops. All work is scheduled to be completed on October 20.

The Mayor of the city marked that it is necessary to perform all the work qualitatively. “There are no unimportant roads in Kazan. There have been many appeals from the population about traffic jams after the commissioning of the “M-14” houses and the expansion of housing construction. The first part was done last year. Thanks to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, who decided to allocate almost 400 million rubles for this project”, said the Mayor of Kazan. “The expanding of the road will solve the tangle of all issues at this stage”.

Ilsur Metshin said that residents also turn to the Internet reception of the Mayor of Kazan and to the head of the district with a request to start the public transport route to the M-14. It is expected that the issue of extending one of the bus routes to a new micro-district will be considered after the reconstruction of the section of the road along Bratiev Battalovyh Street. “Mothers will be able to carry children to kindergartens, schools, to a polyclinic. We are looking forward to entering this section of the road”, said the Mayor.

Andrey Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, Eduard Danilov, the director of the “Glavtatdortrans”, and others took part in the inspection of the facility.
