One of the oldest women's consultations in Kazan will be overhauled for the first time

(KZN.RU, July 3, Alsu Safina). The capital repair starts in the women's consultation №6, located in Kazan at Daurskaya Street, №16. The overhaul will be a great gift to the 45th anniversary of the women's consultation, which serves almost 32000 residents of the Privolzhsky district. After the renovation, all premises of the institution will be brought into compliance with modern requirements and sanitary norms. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, got acquainted with the volume of forthcoming works.

The women's consultation №6 is part of the former city polyclinic №3, joined in 2017 to the Clinic of Medical University. It is located on the first floor of a 5-storey residential building and has been operating in this room with a total area of almost 700 square meters since 1973. This is the oldest institution among the women's consultations that has never been repaired.

Now the windows, ventilation system, fire alarm system will be replaced, interior decoration and redevelopment are planned. It is also planned to expand the narrow hall, create a recreation area for patients and most importantly to bring all the cabinets and the operating room in compliance with the sanitary standards. Ilnur Sharafutdinov, the head doctor of the Clinic of the Medical University, explained that this will be possible due to the optimization of rooms. At the same time, the system of heat supply, water supply, and sewerage will not be renewed.  Major repairs were carried out in 2011 in the building where the women's consultation is located.

The Mayor of Kazan inspected the premises of the women's consultation. About half of them have already been cleaned from the furniture for the beginning of the repair. The repair will be carried out in stages. This will to continue the reception of patients for the period of the overhaul.

The institution is designed for 110 scheduled visits per shift. In total, women's consultation provides outpatient obstetric and gynecological care to 31664 women (65.2% of them are of reproductive age). The area of the serviced territory is 60 square kilometers. Women's counselors are attached to residents of the city, who are served by polyclinics №3, №18 and the polyclinic “Spasenie”, as well as two children's polyclinics №10 and №11. 8 obstetric and gynecological sections are located in the clinic, where 14 doctors work.

Milyausha Musina, the head of the women's consultation №6, told the Mayor that it is already the third generation of patients who come to them. “I hope that this year we will be able to please them”, said Ilsur Metshin. “We have done the polyclinics, and now our duty is the women's consultations. Unfortunately, there was no opportunity before despite our desire. I think, this year, we will do all 5 women's consultations, located in 6 buildings, and yours as well”. Thus, all women's consultations will be put in order.

This year, 19 health facilities will be overhauled. In addition to the women's consultation, children's and city polyclinics will be put in order, as well as polyclinics of the republican specialized institutions.

At the end of the visit, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed Andrey Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, to work out the question of improving the adjacent territory.

Ilnur Khalfiev, the head of the Department of Health of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan, Renat Khairullin, the director of the contracting company OOO “LestaStroy”, Oleg Shipilov, the director of the project company OOO “PC Grad”, and others also attended the event.
