(KZN.RU, June 18). Residents and guests of the city could get to the places of Sabantuy in Kazan on June 23 by public transport. This year the Tatar national holiday will be held at two sites: in the Berezovaya Roscha in the Mirny Settlement and in the Lebyazhie Park.
Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, said at the Business Monday that residents and guests of the city could get to the Berezovaya Roscha by special bus routes from four stops: “The station “Metro Prospect Pobedy”, “10 micro-district”, “Concert Hall of the Philharmonia” at Pavlyukhin Street, and “Glazunov Street”. 73 buses will run on these routes. They will operate from 8 am until the end of the festivities and the export of all guests of the holiday. It is expected that the festive events will last until 4 pm. The payment will be the usual. In addition, you can get to the Sabantuy site by train from the station “Kazan-1”.
The Lebyazhie could be reached by regular buses №36, 46, and 72. You need to get to the bus-stop “Rempler” in the Zalesny Settlement, where free buses will run to the Sabantuy site with a 5-minute interval.
The work of the trolleybus route №3 will be extended from 3 pm due to the race at the Kazan Hippodrome. An additional shuttle will run from the stop “The metro “Prospect Pobedy” through the racecourse to the Central Park of Culture and Leisure.
Azat Abzalov also reported on minor changes in the organization of traffic on the day of Sabantuy. From 6 am to 5 pm, one-way traffic will be organized along the roads from “Lesnoy Gorodok” to Fermskoye Shosse; the pedestrian traffic will be organized on Fermskoye Shosse.
“We recommend residents of Kazan and guests of the capital to use the services of public transport for visiting festive events”, said the head of the Department of Culture.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, urged the Transport Committee and the heads of district administrations to pay a lot of attention to logistics. “We invite guests and residents of the city to use public transport. So we must organize its work in such a way that there are no long-waiting, and the number of buses corresponded to the number of guests of the holiday”.
