(KZN.RU, June 12). An unmanned electric bus, the newest development of the automobile industry was presented today by specialists of the PAO “KAMAZ” in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and others attended the presentation.
Prototype autonomous management “Widely Adaptive Transport Logistics” (“ShATL”) was shown at the site near the ice palace “Tatneft-Arena”. High operational efficiency, environmental friendliness, silent driving are among the advantages of this electric bus.
The drone is designed for paved roads. It uses the data of digital maps, navigation systems and technical vision for movement. The electric bus is capable of speeding up to 110 km per hour, and up to 40 km per hour in park and exhibition zones. Today, the organizers held a limited presentation for the guests. The drone drove 650 meters at a speed of up to 15 km/h. The bus recognizes objects and builds a route, determines the speed of movement.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, was one of the first to take an unmanned electric bus.
Rustam Minnikhanov was told that four monitors are located on four racks, including three monitors, along which the location and movement of the car can be tracked. Experts also talked about other features of the new development.
The President of the RT shared his impressions. “Everything works as it should. The electric bus has many opportunities, but the legislative base is still limited. It is the reason why today only a demonstration trip. The platform of this car allows using it in many projects, it is noiseless, soft. Very impressive”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The “ShATL” of the PAO “KAMAZ” is the latest development, it is an example of the main trends of the automotive industry development. Today the “KAMAZ-1221” is just one of the unique models of unmanned vehicles, which are actively developed by specialists of the PAO “KAMAZ”, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
