Kazan citizens are invited to celebrate the Day of Russia on the site of the Fan Fest
(KZN.RU, June 9, Alsu Safina). On June 12, the Day of Russia, Kazan citizens will be able to take part in festive events that will be organized in the parks and squares of the city. The main festive venue will be the territory near the Family Center “Kazan”, where fans will be gathering for the Fan Fest during the World Cup. “It's good that Kazan citizens will be the first to appreciate the opportunities and beauty of this site, everyone is welcome”, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said at the Business Monday.
Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, told about the festive program. A parade of the friendship of peoples, a festive concert and various folk games from the Assembly and the House of Friendship of Peoples of the RT will be in the Gorky Park on the Day of Russia. A festive program “Russia is My Homeland” will be in the Uritsky Park, and there will be competitions on auto-, air- and ship-modeling. The program “Live, my Russia” will be organized in the park in Derbyshki.
The concert program will start at noon on the main stage of the holiday at the Family Center “Kazan” and will last until 7 pm. The Russian national anthem will be performed here by the combined choir. The Honored Artist of the RT Elmira Kalimullina will solo.
At the concert, Kazan residents and guests of the city will be able to hear performances of the popular bands “Big Kush” and “Murakami”, the best performers of the city and the republic, laureates of the “Constellation – Yoldyzlyk”, as well as the band “Diskoteka Avariya”.
“All services and animations prepared for the World Cup will be launched on the square near the Family Center “Kazan”, said Airat Faizov. “It is most convenient to get to the site by taking a walk from the metro station “Kozya Sloboda” along the new promenade on Dekabristov Street, the renovated Bondarenko Street, or from Absalyamov Street”.
The Day of Russia will end at 10 pm with a festive salute. The best view will be from the Kremlin embankment.
