They will touch the so-called “last mile”, the territory adjacent to the stadium “Kazan Arena”. For the convenience of residents and visitors of the city additional transport will be organized on the road, as well as 9 park and ride. Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, said this at the Business Monday.

According to the recommendations of the FIFA, parking places for private vehicles are organized at a distance of 800 to 1500 meters from the outer perimeter of the stadium. Therefore, fans will be able to leave cars on 9 park and ride of the nearest shopping centers. In total, about 11080 places have been prepared: the parking lots of the shopping center Leroy Merlin, Tandem, the Palace of Combats “Ak Bars”, the covered parking of the Tatneft-Arena, Mega, Yuzhny, and Maxidom.

“We ask residents and guests of the capital to plan the routes in advance and, if possible, to refuse to use private cars on the days of the games in favor of public transport”, said D. Fattakhov and added that the work of public transport for the period of the World Cup will be strengthened. From June 14 to July 15, the traffic going through the stops “Energy University” and “Kozya Sloboda” will be extended until midnight. All changes in the work of transport will affect only the routes that lie within the radius of the last mile and the territory along the Family Center “Kazan”.

Temporary turnaround ways for transport along Yamashev Prospect were arranged in Kazan to the championship.

After the match, about 400 buses, 20 three-section trams and 29 trolleybuses, including 100 additional buses along Yamashev Prospect and 10 trolleybuses along Adoratsky Street, will be used for the export of spectators. The work of these routes will be extended for 3 hours after the end of the matches.

For the convenience of fans in the city, 48 shuttles are used, which will deliver football fans to the last mile free of charge. Shuttles will depart from the Sports Palace, then they will deliver passengers to the stop “Adoratsky Street”; from the Railway Station “Kazan-2” through the shopping center “Tandem” and “Park House” – to the stop “Adoratsky Street”. In addition, shuttles from the airport to the bus stop will also be organized 4 hours before the start of the match.

Kazan citizens were informed in advance that the holding of the World Cup will inevitably make adjustments to the life of the city, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. He instructed to strengthen the work on informing the citizens about how the work of public transport will change. “I ask you to pay special attention to this issue and on the eve of the championship once again remind the residents about what restrictions, what dates and on what streets it is planned to enter, how they can be bypassed”, said the Mayor. “Anyway, there will be those who hear this information for the first time.
