The area in front of the NCC “Kazan” will be landscaped during the construction of the parking lot

The territory of improvement in the construction of an underground parking lot in front of the National Cultural Center “Kazan” will be increased up to the Fuksovsky Garden. The total area of improvement will be 30 thousand 800 square meters. This decision was made during the visit meeting, which was held by Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. He thanked the contractors for another important site for the city and instructed to complete all work before the World Cup.

For today, the construction of parking is almost finished. Along with the 4-level parking lot for 957 cars, the OAO “TAIF is working on the improvement of the roof of the parking lot and adjacent territory. The ground part is conditionally divided into two parts. In the walking zone, there is an amphitheater with a panoramic view of the Millennium Bridge and the right bank of the Kazanka River. “Part of the total area, which is planned to be landscaped, was originally included in the project to build a parking lot. But a part of the square was not included in the project and was knocked out of the general view. Therefore, today it is decided to increase the territory of the improvement, continue it to the slope of the Fuksovsky Garden”, said Ilgiz Latypov, the deputy general director of the OAO “TAIF” for construction and overhaul. “A comfortable walking area for residents and guests of Kazan will be organized at the end of the parking. We want people to have the opportunity to admire the beauty of our city from this site”.

The builders have already finished most of the improvement work. In the near future, it is also planned to equip the lighting system, to place a fountain and continue gardening. Paths connect the square with the green zone in front of the Ministry of Finance of the RT and the main entrance to the NCC. Next to the park, there are a ground parking lot for disabled people and for tourist buses.

The Mayor thanked the project contractors for the new urban facility. “All the works are done very well. During the construction, workers did not violate the existing architectural appearance of this territory. They created beauty and made an order”, said Ilsur Metshin. “This important object will be another gift from the company “TAIF” to our city for the World Cup”.

The construction of an underground 4-level parking lot on Pushkin Street was launched in September 2016. The customer of the facility is the OAO “TAIF”, the designer is GUP “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt”. The territory of 42 thousand square meters will be allocated for vehicles underground, it is twice as much as the NCC area. The parking lot is designed for 957 cars, including 61 cars for the low-mobility groups, provided for in the open area above the underground floors. There are also 8 charging stations for electric vehicles equipped with two points for charging electric cars.

The construction work will be completed by June 15.
