(KZN.RU, April 23, Alsu Safina). The traffic movement will be limited in some streets of Kazan in preparation for the Victory Day. Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, said this at the Business Monday.
He said that on May 3 and 5 from 6 pm to 10 pm, the traffic will be limited on the Millennium Square and the Leninskaya Dam in connection with the rehearsal of the solemn passage of troops and the passage of military equipment. In addition, the restrictions are scheduled on May 7 from 9 am to 1 pm and on May 8 from 7 pm to 10 pm in connection with the rehearsal of the concert program on the Millennium Square.
In addition, the movement of vehicles along the route of the “Immortal Regiment” will be limited. The action will take place on the route of last year: the column is formed from the intersection of streets K. Marx and M. Gorky in the area of the Agrarian University and moves to the Millennium Square. Last year, more than 120 thousand people took part in the procession of the “Immortal Regiment”.
The public transport will operate from 5 am to midnight on May 9. Azat Abzalov said that the work of public transport on Victory Day will be organized in a strengthened mode. Additional trains will be provided in the metro. At the end of the events, special buses will be delivered to Levo-Bulachnaya Street in the Kirovsky Pereulok area and to the Leninskaya Dam near the publishing house.
The head of the Department of Culture said that areas with traffic restrictions will be accompanied by the display of anti-ramming equipment. The territories will be inspected for the presence of explosives at all venues of the celebration. Both the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and private security companies will be involved. Also, the duty of medical personnel will be organized, and healthcare facilities providing emergency medical care will work on an enhanced schedule.
“We are expecting the impeccable execution of all orders for transport, security, and healthcare”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
