(KZN.RU, April 16, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). The test match between football clubs “Rubin” and “Ufa” will be held on May 7 at the stadium “Kazan Arena” in preparation for the FIFA World Cup-2018. The organizers of the World Championship will have to work out all the services that will be available at the upcoming matches this summer. Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, spoke about this on the Business Monday. In this regard, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed to pay special attention to informing the residents of the “last mile”, the territory near the stadium “Kazan Arena”.
“It is planned to test all the services of the championship. As a result, we will once again conduct a thorough analysis of all organizational processes, which will allow ensuring a high level of the championship matches”, said Damir Fattakhov. On the day of the game, the movement restriction will be introduced in the territory adjacent to the stadium from 5 pm to 10 pm for security. It will affect the streets: S. Hakim on the site from Amirkhan Prospect to Chistopolskaya Street; Chistopolskaya Street on the site from Bichurin Street to Yamashev Prospect; Chistopolskaya Street on the site from Yamashev Prospect to Adoratsky Street; and others.
The Mayor noted that Kazan was very fortunate to host the Confederations Cup a year earlier as a test competition before the World Cup. “We looked at all the pros and cons of the last mile, working with fans, providing public order, on other global issues”, he said. “In any case, every big event has its own specifics, and we had time to work on the mistakes”.
Two months left until the start of the World Cup-2018. Everyone who is involved in the preparation for it has to solve many important tasks. “Preparing for the World Cup is teamwork. We are together: the federal structures, the organizing committee of the World Championship of Russia and our Republic, and municipal authorities are a single team. We are able to interact with each other, hear and work in the same team”, said Ilsur Metshin.
Special passes are introduced for simplified entry and exit of transport during the championship for the convenience of Kazan residents, living on the territory of the “last mile”.
“An important component is the work with the residents of the houses near to the stadium. The restriction of movement in the stadium area will affect the comfort of movement. This is also solvable, but it works only when we explain in advance to our residents how the movement will be organized for them. Therefore, this is the case when it will be necessary to reach everyone”, said the Mayor of Kazan.
The Football World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia. Kazan will host six matches for the group stage. France and Australia will meet on June 16, Spain and Iran – on June 20, Poland and Colombia – on June 24, and Germany and South Korea – on June 27. The match of 1/8 finals will be held on June 30, and match 1/4 finals – on July 6.
