Ilsur Metshin: “Our country has always been kept by our women, by your love, strength, patience”

(KZN.RU, March 6, Alsu Safina). Today results of the city contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: A Woman's Look” were summed up City Hall. The winners were presented the awards by Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. Teachers, doctors, workers, cultural figures, entrepreneurs, mother-heroines and 92-year-old participant of the project “Zhiznelub” are among the awardees.

The head of the city congratulated all those present on the upcoming holiday. “Like flowers, you decorate our world, warming it with the warmth of your hearts. We are grateful to you for the well-being of the family hearth, caring for relatives and friends, fostering feelings of love for the Fatherland in children and respect for traditional spiritual values. Our country has been kept from immemorial time on women, on your love, strength, patience, devotion and positive thinking”, the Mayor addressed the women.

“You conduct complicated surgical operations, open new horizons for science and manage large enterprises, do everything to make our city and republic prosper!” said the head of the city. He reminded that more recently athletes Evgenia Tarasova and Anna Nechaevskaya glorified the sports school of Tatarstan to the whole world at the Olympics in Pyeongchang. “They proved that fragile female shoulders can easily bear the enormous burden of responsibility imposed on them”, believes Ilsur Metshin.

“I am confident that our multinational people will always be guided by the high moral principle”, the Mayor of Kazan expressed his hope.

The Mayor expressed special gratitude to the women veterans. “Your combat and labor heroism will forever remain an example for all subsequent generations. Sincerely I wish you long years of life and joy of communication with children and grandchildren”, said the Mayor.

At the event, Ilsur Metshin presented republican and city awards. Honorary title "Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan" was awarded to Marina Matveeva, a teacher of the Children's Music School №14, “Honored Worker of the Housing and Communal Services of the RT” – to Khatima Gataullina, a worker of the green construction of the №2 of the Vakhitovsky region of the “Gorvodzelenkhoz Trust”.

The distinction “For the impeccable service of Kazan” was awarded to Irina Marasova, the deputy head of the Ecology Department of the Kazan “Giproniiaviaprom”, and Tatiana Moroz, the head of the children's hospital of the Central City Clinical Hospital №18.

Ilsur Metshin handed a certificate of Kazan to Margarita Arkhipova, the master of the Kazan Helicopter Plant, Golsina Diyarova, gas and liquid control inspector of the Kazan engine building association, Tatiana Nabieva, a trainer in speed skating at the children's and youth sports school of the Vakhitovskiy district of Kazan, Nina Rakhimova, a milling machine operator of the Kazan engine-building production association, Venera Shagiakhmetova, General Director of the OOO “Tatarskaya Usadba”, Nakie Khafizova, an activist of the public movement of veterans of the city, a member of the Union of Muslim Women of Tatarstan “Muslima”.

After that, the winners of the city competition were awarded. Nadezhda Sidenko, the mother of five children, was noted in the nomination “Woman-Mother”. The letter of gratitude of the Mayor of Kazan for the nomination “Special Recognition” was given to Lilia and Marat Samigullins, who bring up four children, including the triplets.

Milyausha Tamindarova, the artistic director of the State Chamber Choir of the RT, was awarded in the nomination “Women are Culture and Spirituality”.

Olga Sotova, the founder and director of the OOO “STS Group” and the museum “Tatar Sloboda”, was awarded in the nomination “Woman-Business Lady”. Sofia Gubaidulina, the director of the Center for Contemporary Music, Lyalya Garifullina, an Honored Art Worker of the RT, won in the category “Woman-Leader”.

“The woman-an example of the year” was recognized Elena Rynina, a coach-teacher of the complex children's and youth sports school “Aviator”.

Heroines of the older age were Ramziya Taktash, an 86-year-old curator of museum funds of the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jalil, and Vera Filyanina, a rear worker, a 92-year-old participant of the project “Zhiznelub”.

The men did not remain unmarked at today's celebration at the City Hall. Almir Mikheev, the director of the OOO “IVTs “Anatomika”, a deputy of the Kazan City Duma of the third convocation, became the winner in the nomination “A man with a noble heart”. Rafkat Kantyukov, a deputy of the State Council of the RT, the general director of the OOO “Gazprom Transgaz Kazan”, an honorary citizen of Kazan, is recognized as the male leader.
