During 2018, it is planned to introduce the standard of “Friendly polyclinic” in 13 adult polyclinics in Kazan and start the project implementation in children's polyclinics. Ilnur Khalfiev, the head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan, announced this today on the Business Monday.
The project was implemented in urban polyclinics №18 and №21. According to the head of the Health Department, there are two polyclinics in the project implementation stage (№10 and №3).
“Undoubtedly, qualitative working conditions of health care allow us to move to new tasks”, believes Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. “God grant strength, consistency, and professionalism to our colleagues from the Ministry of Health. The new project “Friendly polyclinic” announced by them will allow bringing a service of our population in the sphere of healthcare to a qualitatively new level”, noted the head of the city.
Ilsur Metshin drew attention to the problem of staff shortage. “I am glad that the staffing of the city's network of medical institutions grew by 2% (in the last 5 years by 7%), and now this number was 78.9%. But this is a great burden for both district doctors and specialists. It is necessary to make even greater efforts in this regard”, commented the Mayor of Kazan.
The average staffing level is 85.6%.
29 doctors were involved in the grant program of the Government of the RT. 23 students who will have to work for 5 years in primary health care after the graduation are now studying at the Kazan Medical University at the expense of 50% co-financing by the Executive Committee of Kazan.
161 graduates of a medical college are hired. In addition, there has been a tendency to renew the staff. During the year, the proportion of doctors of retirement age decreased by 10%.
The head of the Health Department explained to journalists that over the past 10 years, the number of Kazan's population has increased by 95 thousand people, the children's population – by 60 thousand people. “15 schools and 103 new kindergartens have been built. Of course, all this requires specialists so that they can provide the necessary medical assistance, work in preventive activities”, noted Ilnur Khalfiev.
