I. Metshin: “The simultaneous overhaul of 52 objects is a historic event for the capital”

(KZN.RU, February 19, Alsu Safina). The work to improve the material and technical base of healthcare facilities, which is conducted in the city due to financial injections of the federal center and Tatarstan, allows improving the quality of medical services to Kazan citizens. The evidence of this is a reduction in the mortality of the working-age population by almost 8%. This is a good result, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, today on the Business Monday.

In general, the death rate of the population in the city decreased by 3.8% in 2017 compared to the previous year, said Ilnur Khalfiev, the head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan. He also said that the death rate from diseases of the circulatory system decreased (by 3.5%) compared with the indicators of 2016 and from cancer (by 6.8%).

According to him, during the last 7 years, the trend of positive natural population growth persists. For 2017, it is estimated at 5 ppm per 1000 population. “The infant mortality rate remains at the level of developed European countries and in the reporting year was 4.1 per 1000 live births”, said I. Khalfiev.

This year, the overhaul of 52 primary care facilities in 16 adult polyclinics (32 facilities) and 9 children's polyclinics (20 objects) of the city is going to be finished.

“The simultaneous overhaul of 52 objects of the primary network is a historic event for the healthcare of the capital and the republic as a whole”, believes Ilsur Metshin. He expressed his gratitude to the President of the RT, on the personal initiative of which the republican program is being implemented. “In 2018, another 21 institutions will be overhauled, including 6 women's consultations. This is our long-awaited dream, and it will be realized this year”, noted the Mayor.

He called the construction of the FAP in Boriskovo and a medical dispensary in Salmachi village good news. This year, the trauma center of the central city clinical hospital №18 will be built (now the design is being completed), and an emergency medical substation will appear in Mirny village.

Ilsur Metshin drew attention to the fact that the children's polyclinic will open in the residential complex “Salavat Cupere”.

A decision was taken to build a city polyclinic №17 and a children's polyclinic №7. Today the development of project documentation is underway, after which the construction will begin.

According to Ilnur Khalfiev, the modernization of hospitals to create hospital-polyclinic associations will be continued, the goal of which is to build a 3-level system of rendering medical care to the population. According to the head of the Health Department, today the reorganization stage is in 5 complexes: hospitals №2, №11, №16, №18, the Clinic of the Medical University. And one complex is in the project – the Hospital for veterans of wars.
