The house on Utazinskaya Street is being prepared to accept the participants of the program “Housing for Citizens”

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the house on Utazinskaya Street, №6b, building 1 in the Kirovsky district of the city, built according to the program “Housing for Citizens”. The participants of the program will begin to settle in March. Apartments of a small area with a fine finishing repair are in demand now, especially for young families, noted the head of the city.

The nine-storey house for 72 apartments was delivered last year. The Mayor was shown a one- and two-room apartments on the first floor. According to Airat Khaliullin, the director of the Municipal Directorate of Municipal Housing Programs (the operator of the program), there are 29 one-room apartments (31 and 33 sq. m), 9 three-room apartments (72 sq. m) and 34 one-bedroom apartments (41, 45 and 58 sq. m.), all of them are rented with a finishing repair.

The Mayor noted that apartments of this size are now in high demand especially for young families who can lend only a small amount. At the same time, according to the Mayor, appeals are coming about the lack of such apartments in the market. “A good budget repair, there is everything for living”, summed up the head of the city.

The program “Housing for citizens” provides an opportunity to purchase housing on preferential terms to citizens who are registered for housing under a social contract, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, defrauded shareholders, citizens whose and plots houses were taken for municipal needs, municipal employees, young scientists, and others on the proposal of the head of the municipality. The program provides the housing in installments at 7 or 11 percent per annum, depending on the category of participants with a maximum installment period of up to 20 years and a minimum down payment of 30%.

It is planned to start settling the house in March. Now the Office of Housing Policy forms a register of waiting lists (there are about 280 families).

Azat Nigmatzyanov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, told the Mayor of Kazan that work on the second house is underway, which is now at the stage of the first floor. “The second house also rises, we manage to do everything on the schedule. We plan to deliver it by the end of the summer 2018”, said A. Nigmatzyanov. “The third house will be delivered in 2019”. All three houses are standard with 72 apartments each.

For 2015-2016, more than 130 families were provided with housing through the program.
