(KZN.RU, February 13, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). The capital of Tatarstan is the first among the cities with a million population in terms of the number of kindergartens, schools and hospitals, sports and cultural facilities built in the city over the past 10 years. Today Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, spoke about how Kazan managed to overtake its neighbors in 20 years and whether the city will continue to overhaul the houses of culture on another report to employees of large enterprises of the capital of Tatarstan. The head of the city answered the questions of the AO “Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant” (KOMP) and visited one of the houses where complaints were found.
Before the report, Ilsur Metshin was shown the flight of the helicopter “Ansat”, created by PAO “Kazan Helicopter Plant” and equipped by KOMP specialists. New navigation equipment was installed on it and analog avionics was replaced by a digital one. It is planned that this helicopter will be used in the work of the ambulance.
The Mayor of Kazan, accompanied by Sergey Rakovets, the general director of the KOMP, Evgeny Varakin, the head of the Office of the Kazan Executive Committee, and Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district administration, inspected three more helicopters at the re-equipment stage in the production hall for refining and modernizing aviation equipment. Ilsur Metshin also visited the assembly site №1, the testing site, and the packaging section of the shop №117, where he got acquainted with the technological process and talked to employees.
Opening his speech on the results of city services work in 2017, the Mayor noted the contribution of the plant workers to the economy of the city, the republic and the whole country. Thanks to the work of enterprises, Kazan is one of the few cities that not only preserved but also increased its revenue base in 2017.
The budget of Kazan traditionally remains socially oriented, 70% of the expenditure falls on education and social and cultural spheres. Much attention is paid to the development of economic and construction industries. Kazan occupies the first place in terms of turnover of retail trade, turnover of public catering, and the volume of construction works. Last year over 2 thousand families in the capital of Tatarstan received apartments under the social mortgage program, 239 multi-apartment houses were overhauled and 175 city streets were renovated.
“We occupy the first place among the cities with over a million population in terms of the number of kindergartens, schools and hospitals, sports and cultural facilities built in the city over the past 10 years. Kazan has traditionally been a city of a million people since Soviet times competing with Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Yekaterinburg in all respects. Twenty years ago, we could not have dreamed that we would someday catch up with them. For today, these figures, behind which are absolutely important moments of the city and the republic life, talk about how we have developed over the past 10 years”, said the Mayor of Kazan.
After the report on Kazan's achievements in the sphere of construction, overhaul, ecology, transport, security, and other branches of the city economy, the plant’s employees asked Ilsur Metshin the questions they were interested in. So, the workers, among whom there are many residents of Derbyshek, wanted to know what future is waiting for the HoC named after S. Said-Galiev. The House of Culture plays an important role in the life of this part of the city. It serves more than 70 thousand inhabitants of Derbyshki, Kinderi, Aki, Sosnovka, Nagorny, Bolshie and Malye Derbyshki, Nauchny Gorodok, Veterenarny gorodok. Over 40 clubs are engaged in the institution, including 29 amateur art groups and applied art.
The Mayor of Kazan reminded that the city and the republic are closely engaged in the renovation of the houses of culture. The opening of the Uritsky Palace (now the CCS “Moskovsky”) after the repair and the construction of a recreation center in Konstantinovka are in the plans for 2018. After that, the house of culture, located in Derbyshki will be overhauled as well.
The workers of the plant asked the Mayor of Kazan many questions concerning the schedule of the public transport movement, the condition of the driveways and roads to the garden societies. Separately they discussed the program of major repairs of houses.
At the same time, there were those who noted serious faults in the overhaul of houses. For example, according to resident M. Andreeva, pipes were leaking after the connection in some apartments in her house. And her neighbor in the yard drew attention to the need to repair the yard area.
“I have a second complaint in a week about Derbyshki on the quality of overhaul. We will definitely respond”, promised the head of Kazan and visited the house №4 on Pravda Street.
The Mayor of Kazan together with Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for Housing and Communal Services, and the head of the district looked into one of the apartments where he talked with the residents. As it turned out, the problem with the leakage of pipes has long been eliminated but the bath in one of the apartments was flooded. The head of the city instructed to find an opportunity to help with repairs.
Ilsur Metshin marked that people's appeals are important in the work of city authorities. “All the issues that have been raised today will be the benchmark for us. The more we do, the more we want to do. We will do everything possible to make Derbyshki look like Kazan. You have a wonderful city in the city, I really like to visit Derbyshki. Very different people live here”, concluded the Mayor and promised to personally monitor the solution of the urgent problems.
