(KZN.RU, February 5, Zilya Gayfi). For the last 10 years, 3 times more schools and kindergartens have been built in the capital of Tatarstan than in previous decades. Now the construction of 4 schools is underway in Kazan, which will provide places for 4749 children, including the largest school in the city for 1500 places. It is also planned to introduce 3 new kindergartens into operation. Azat Nigmatzyanov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, reported this today during the Business Monday.
According to him, social infrastructure of Kazan will be replenished with 13 new sports grounds, a multifunctional center with a library in Konstantinovka for 300 people, and 3 medical institutions in Boriskovo, Mirny, and Salmachi. 3 kindergartens are being built in the residential complexes “Vesna”, “Art City”, and “Stantsiya “Sportivnaya”.
“Currently, the construction of 4 schools is underway. There are 2 schools for 1224 pupils in the RC “Salavat Cupere” and on Nokinskiy Spusk Street, a school for 800 places is being built in the RC “Svetlaya Dolina”, and the largest school in the city for 1501 places is being built in the RC “Vesna”. Also, the question of including a school for 1501 students in the register of standard projects of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation is being decided. If this issue is resolved positively, then the site for the construction of such a school has already been reserved”, he said.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, marked that it is important to maintain the dynamics of the social facilities construction because of the growing population. “This year we delivered 2 schools and are building another 4. We are building a large school for 1500 children. This is a vital necessity. The number of children is growing, today there are 120000 children in schools, and there will be 195000 students in 2025. This is great news. But at the same time, 40% of schools in our country work in a two-shift regime, and we have to take in another 75000 children in 7 years. We must build our plans in accordance with this”, marked the head of the city.
