4 out of 7 emergency sites of storm sewage were liquidated in Kazan

(KZN.RU, January 31, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). 4 out of 7 emergency sections of the storm sewage network were liquidated in Kazan in 2015, including one in 2017. This year the works will be continued, said Igor Kulyazhev, the chairman of the Committee of External Improvement, on the traditional report of the structural units to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.

100 million rubles was allocated from the republic's budget in 2017 to restore the capacity of storm sewage in Kazan. As a result, 8.3 km of main collectors were cleared in a year, and which is 224 km of networks, or 59% of the total length, since 2012.

“For today, 4 out of the 7 emergency sites of storm sewage, which were at the start of work in 2012, have been eliminated. The most significant in Zorge Street was fixed in 2017. This year it is planned to eliminate the pit on the Technicheskaya Street in the framework of roadworks”, said I. Kulyazhev.

Street lighting was updated in 28 residential areas of Kazan last year, 1050 lights appeared in villages Privolny, Kulseitovo, Derbyshki, Voznesensko, Borisovsko, Salmachi, Mirny, Yudino, Severny, Borisoglebsk, and others. 30 million rubles was allocated from the Tatarstan budget for these purposes.

New lanterns on Kazan streets are also installed due to programs for the improvement of parks, repair of old roads, and construction of new ones.

In total for the last 5 years, the increase amounted to 17 thousand light points, or about 22%.

“For now, more than 80000 light points are on maintenance, the length of street lighting networks was 2572 km”, said the head of the Committee of External Improvement.

In 2017, an unprecedented amount of funds for road works was allocated (6.1 billion rubles), which allowed repairing 175 streets, 340 yards, 46 driveways. 51 places of the highest concentration of accidents were identified and eliminated based on data for 2016: 12 traffic lights, 15 km of galvanized fences, and 530 road signs of increased visibility were installed. The repair of 21 roads was carried out in 13 residential areas of Kazan, 7 roads to 24 gardens were equipped for the first time.

“The repair of two underground pedestrian crossings, operated more than 40 years, completed in 2017”, said I. Kulyazhev.

18 million rubles was allocated from the republic's budget for these purposes.

1 billion rubles was allocated to the improvement of places of mass recreation in 2017, including 300 million rubles from funds of patrons. 8 objects were landscaped for the year: parks Uritsky, “Kryliya Sovetov”, “Chernoe Ozero”, Pobedy, “Kaleidoscope”, Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest, the embankment of the Nizhny Kaban Lake, and Lebyazhie Lake. In total, 60 objects out of 140 have been renovated since 2013.

In 2017, the work continued on the improvement of the Orenburgsky tract and the Universiade Prospect. noise protection screens, decorative fencing, a system of automatic watering of green zones, planted over 3 thousand trees, 27 thousand shrubs, 25 thousand perennial ornamental plants, and 5 hectares of lawn have been installed on these highways.

Evgeny Varakin, the head of the Office of the Kazan Executive Committee, Radik Shafigullin, the deputy head covering land, property and financial issues, Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administration, Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district administration, Airat Akhmadullin, the first deputy head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, Nail Minvaleev, the first deputy head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, Tatiana Prokofieva, the chief architect of Kazan, Zhanna Belitskaya, the deputy head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning and the head of the Department of Urban Design, and Rosa Zabbarova, the manager of the MUP Trust “Gorvodzelenkhoz”, also took part in the meeting.
