R. Minnikhanov and I. Metshin visited the polyclinic of the city clinical hospital №18 and the G block of the ICDC

(KZN.RU, January 26). Today Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, visited the polyclinic of the central city clinical hospital №18 and the block G of the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center after an overhaul.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Adel Vafin, the minister of Health of the RT, Irek Faizullin, the minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing of the RT, and others also took part in the event.

Adel Vafin reported on the work of the polyclinic. Then, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the department of functional diagnostics where the head of the department told about the specific activity in the field of diagnostics and the modern equipment.

Rustam Minnikhanov was also told about the stages of medical institution modernization, the Central City Clinical Hospital №18. The hospital provides medical care to the population of the Privolzhsky, Sovetsky and Vakhitovsky districts (480,000 people). The building was built in 1988, the number of beds is 380.

Further modernization of the medical institution will increase its capacity, reduce the expectation of planned operations, and increase the population's satisfaction with the quality of medical services.

Afterwards, Rustam Minnikhanov and his entourage got acquainted with the results of the next stage of the material and technical base modernization of the ICDC. The repair work was carried out in the center in 2017 as part of the implementation of the relevant program, and modern furniture and medical equipment were purchased.

Guests were presented with a branch of radiation diagnostics, which went through qualitative changes this year. The repair work is carried out in this department, corridors and offices are made of modern composite materials.

The modern X-Ray apparatus for 512 slices began to function in the department of radiation diagnostics from January 2018. It allows improving the quality of conducted research.

Due to this, it is possible to examine the heart for one reduction at any heart rate. This increases the flow of cardiac patients by an average of 20-30% and the total number of studies per day.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that improving the quality of medical services, the speed and availability of these services positively affects the life quality of the population, affects the increase in the average life expectancy of Tatarstan residents, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

The Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center is the leading high-tech center of Tatarstan and the Volga region, specializing in helping patients with cardiovascular pathologies of the heart, brain, diseases of the main and peripheral vessels, and the gastrointestinal tract.

The center was founded in 1999. Annually more than 125 thousand patients undergo examination and treatment in the center. More than 5 thousand operations are performed, including 2.5 thousand operations on the heart and vessels, more than 900 on the brain and spinal cord. Since 2011, specialists of the Center have implemented heart transplantation operations for the first time in the RT.
