Garbage from house yards will be taken out daily during public holidays

During the New Year holidays, 44 reinforced brigades, provided with special equipment and vehicles with the necessary stock of material and technical resources in case of liquidation of accidents and their consequences, will be on daily duty in the organizations of the communal complex of Kazan. The number of duty brigades and equipment is doubled compared with the usual days. This was announced during the traditional staff meeting in the City Hall by Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee of the Housing and Communal Services.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, marked that it is necessary to organize work in this direction in the days remaining until the holidays. “Leaders and heads of districts know all their work. The reaction on all non-standard and standard situations should be fast”, said the Mayor.

I. Giniyatullin noted that special attention is paid to the implementation of antiterrorist measures in the housing stock and at communal infrastructure facilities. “There are almost 10 thousand booklets in residential houses about vigilance, the need to comply with fire safety requirements and the procedure for calling emergency services in case of an emergency”, he said. The chairman of the Committee for Housing and Communal Services also noted that a check of the basement and attic rooms of apartment buildings and a revision of locking devices were made to improve the safety of residents and prevent terrorist attacks. The identified faults were promptly worked out with management organizations.

In addition, all boiler houses and Kazan CHP plants will operate according to temperature schedules taking into account weather conditions. “Scheduled works related to the shutdown of public utilities for the New Year holidays are not provided”, said I. Giniyatullin.

A special attention during the holidays will be given to the export of waste. “Special equipment will operate on December 30-31 in an intensified regime and on January 1 and 7 in standby mode, on the remaining days – in the usual working schedule. The managing organizations and districts’ administrations need to ensure clearing of the passageways to the container sites”, said the speaker.

“The schedule of garbage disposal is sounded, the request is to execute it rigorously”, said Ilsur Metshin.
